Plains Georgia, home of Jimmy Carter, the peanut president.
NY TIMES ROBBIE BROWN: “Smiling Peanut,” a favorite spot for tourist photo-ops, was made in 1976 for a Carter campaign rally and later given to Plains in 1977. It is located along highway 45 in Plains, next to a gas station and convenience store and an RV park.
May be why he lasted only one term…
