Just to let you know – I’m not bailing. I’m just doing stuff lately, and that’s a long post to respond to point by point. I am on a long weekend, though, so I should get a response up in the near future.

This is a long post so feel free to abandon it. I wanted to provide sources and refer folks here so I won’t have to go into all this again.
Precisely. He has not released a certified copy of anything. The actual COLB on factcheck has not been certified as issued by Hawaii. Factcheck is vouching for it. And they called it a birth certificate on barry’s own Fight the Smear website when the document clearly says Certification of Live Birth.
You’ll have to ask him. He chose to give it to Kos and then get factcheck involved. He wasn’t compelled to do that. He said it was in keeping with “transparency”. He just had no idea what it would lead to.
Annenberg Political Factcheck -> Annenberg Public Policy Center - > Annenberg Foundation – > Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which Bill Ayers was involved with. He for years has been devoted to school reform, as was his father, who was head of Commonwealth Edison, which David Axelrod is a lobbyist for and was working as one throughout barry’s campaign right out of the same office he worked for barry. barry was the founding chairman of CAC and served from 95-99. Bill Ayers was an ex officio board member and received money that barry doled out on behalf of the foundation.
Michelle and Bernadette Dohrn (Ayers’ wife) were also involved – all four of them speaking together at at least one seminar. Dohrn got a job with Sidley & Austin law firm (and later at Northwestern Law School) courtesy of Ayers’ father after she turned her FBI’s 10 Most Wanted self in to the police. And Michelle and barry worked there also. It’s where Michelle met barry, who then ok’d Michelle’s going to work for Valerie Jarrett.
Do you know Jarrett’s family history? Fascinating – truly. And I don’t mean because she was born in Iran.
Jarrett worked for Mayor Daley and she clearly knows her way around the Daley Machine. Jarrett, barry’s ex boss Allison Davis and yes Rezko. were beneficiaries of barry and ayers doled out Woods Foundation cash – to the tune of millions and all three left behind uninhabitable buildings – still.
Jarrett hired Michelle away from Sidley Austin and she became an aide to Daley. Later as Vice Chairman of the Board of U of C - where barry and Ayers were teaching – Jarrett hired Michelle where she worked finding ways to turn folks away from the ER until the campaign. Two months after barry was sworn in as US Senator Michelle got a $195k raise, but barry’s attempt at a $1M earmark payback to U of C didn’t work out.
barry and Ayers also worked together on the Woods Foundation -> Ayers chairman, barry board member and they doled out millions to barry’s old boss Allison Davis and also to barry’s 2004 official senate campaign finance advisor and convicted felon and blago pay to play facilitator turned Fed snitch, Tony Rezko, Davis and Rezko’s (and Jarrett’s) projects failed -> Rezko leaving behind 11 dilapidated buildings in barry’s old senate district.
Since then he has resisted any and all efforts to even have it vetted, which is why they started asking for the long form.
And these people are? And what did they actually see? And when? Before or after he posted the COLB? Did Nancy Pelosi actual look at anything? She has never said she has. She signed a paper saying barry/biden were nominated and thus official candidates for the Democratic party. That is all.
Well, then there’s Sens McCaskill and Leahy’s crazy senate resolution declaring Sen McCain a natural born citizen that Pelosi was all for…because they wanted to include barry. Why on earth would the Dems help McCain get in office?
I have no interest in “pawing” over anything. I don’t care if he was born on the moon or in a manger. I don’t care that his illegal alien auntie was invited to the Inauguration instead of being deported. I don’t care that he lets his half-brother live in squalor all the while saying how important family is. I don’t even care if his Selective Service registration is a forgery.
I care that he is hiding something. And I very much care that the media has not pressed him on it and in fact has gone out of there way to ignore it – which is why this conversation started. And it really makes me angry that barry won’t reassure the service members by providing definitive proof. That is heinous.
Look me in the eye and tell me that if it was Hillary Clinton or John McCain this would still be going on. Look what the media did to Palin in 72 hours compared with what they haven’t even asked barry to produce.
Never happen. That’s what I care about – the absolute media corruption. And it is shocking to me that folks don’t care just because it’s barry. And why exactly is it they don’t care? What exactly is it based on? His accomplishments?
What are the chances the first biracial president is going to be thrown out of office? At this point it is a matter of global security. Someone who has nothing to hide does not continue to fight lawsuits after he is elected president.
When he claimed and promised to be transparent, he placed the burden of proof squarely on his own shoulders. Transparency is not conditional…though barry’s seems to be.
“You and your ilk”. You have no idea who I am or my “ilk”. How many of my ilks back up information with links or are aware of all this? You weren’t even aware of factcheck’s connection to barry but are certain his COLB was vetted.
Bingo. Literally.
Not a single person in the Hawaii state government has vouched for the COLB. Dr Fukino said the original was on file in accordance with Hawaiian law. She did not say anything about what was on it. She did not say anything about whether the COLB matched what was on the original.
They are two separate entities that have not been in any way connected. Factcheck is the only source that “vetted” it. barry has allowed no one else. A state government said nothing about it legal or otherwise.
Knowingly the operative word. Again there has been no connection made between the long form and the short form COLB on factcheck. Yes, the front of that green image says Hawaii, but there is no way to know if the long form says Hawaii. And barry will not allow anyone to see the COLB. Why?
Not even the lawyers he has been and is still being sued by have seen it. His own lawyers are actually citing Factcheck as proof of its authenticity – right there as a footnote on the filings to the Supreme Court. It’s like having Rush Limbaugh certifying John McCain’s paperwork.
Have you even looked at the forensic examination of the COLB to make up your own mind?
Not as a rule but barry can ask for one…if he needs a copy.

Yes. I have read those and I have read barry people get even more vicious. Unbelievably vicious. I have read them right here. Our site is not affiliated with anyone – no political party, organization or candidate. I have never voted. I had never even been involved in politics of any sort until last January. I didn’t even know how the primaries and all that worked.
I question the legitimacy from a 5 y/o’s standpoint.
Why is he spending thousands of dollars when it could have been taken care of with less than $10 dollars?
What 5 y/o would believe someone who says he has a $50 in his hand and then refuses to show it?
It makes absolutely no logical sense. Folks can raise all the arguments and semantics and why should he have to do this and people are racists and have an agenda – it still comes down to why would he pay to fight something he doesn’t need to if everything is legit?
Not a single person can answer that because there is no answer.There is a logical conclusion that can be arrived at: he is hiding something.
No one asked him to release it to the general public in the first place or even now. He chose on his own initiative to release his COLB it to the internet.
Thing is he thought it would be enough to prove he was a natural born citizen. He didn’t expect people to notice the irregularities. He didn’t expect folks to notice that it was put up and taken down and then put back up in an altered state from the original. He didn’t expect folks to want to see the back of it. He didn’t expect folks to know the difference between a COLB and a long form birth certificate.
All he would have to do is show one judge in chambers under seal. Nobody would have to see what’s on it. He could have showed Chief Justice Roberts when he met behind closed doors with him and the other Justices (save Alito) while the Court had yet to conference on the cases they had distributed concerning barry and Biden. Maybe he did. Maybe that explains the botched oath.
The presumption? Did they make the same presumption about McCain, who was born in Panama or Mitt Romney whose father was born in Mexico? What about Communist Roger Calero, who was born in Nicuragua? How did he get on the ballot…for the second election cycle?
How many modern presidents have had a father who was not an immigrant and not an American citizen at any time in his life?
And again why should anyone have to disprove something from a man who claims transparency? Why should a president resist proving he is eligible if he had nothing to hide – especially a self-proclaimed constitutional and voter rights attorney?
It defies reality.
SCOTUS has not declared he is a natural born citizen or even a US citizen. They have declared absolutely nothing, They have denied the applications without comment – if they even addressed them. Justice Scalia had no idea what Orly Taitz was talking about even though he had conferenced her case and Berg’s and Donofrio’s and Wrotnowski’s.
Not a single court has said barry is a natural born citizen. Not a single court has actually looked or attempted to look at his COLB. Not a single court has investigated anything. The cases have been thrown out for lack of standing. Judge Surrick didn’t even bother considering the evidence because he said barry “underwent excessive vetting during what was one of the most hotly contested presidential primary [sic] in living memory.” that and Judge Robertson ranted: “the issue of the president’s citizenship was raised, vetted, blogged, texted, twittered, and otherwise massaged (sic) by America’s vigilant citizenry”.
It’s laughable. Judge is relying on citizenry and media twits.
The state of Hawaii has not vouched for the COLB on factcheck. Dr Fukino said the long form is present and accounted for. The state sends out the COLB as acceptable proof. But the COLB on factcheck has not been vetted to have come from the long form.
barry chose to have it vetted. Why? And it was “vetted” by people he has been connected with. It is meaningless, especially since he has steadfastly refused to allow anyone access to it.
If it is in the most public place on the planet – if he asked for it to be vetted so that he could prove to the public that it was authentic – then why hasn’t he actually allowed the public (even one judge) to actually see it? That was his sole intention of putting it out there – to squelch all doubts. He initiated. No one asked him to do it.
In the primaries he campaigned about personal transparency. Straight up. He claimed he had been transparent with Rezko – not. He claimed he had released his tax forms – not. And more. And again it’s idiots with grudges. Why is it every barryfan has to call people names? Is that what you call soldiers on active duty who want to have a clear conscience when they pull the trigger? Would you pull that trigger relying only on factcheck – who doesn’t know the difference between a long form birth certificate and a COLB?
Why won’t the commander in chief – who be sending some soldiers to a certain death – not supply a $6 dollar piece of paper in exchange for their peace of mind? And it’s causing dissension within the ranks.
What grudge does a member of military intelligence have? Decorated veterans - generals? Are they your “idiots with grudges”?
He claims transparency and hasn’t even come close in any fashion including government. Case in point: his 5 days of sunlight for non-emergency bills. Not. Iraq being another. FISA being another. School vouchers being another. DC handgun being another. Iran being a “tiny country who doesn’t pose a serious threat” followed less than 24 hours later by “let me be absolutely clear: Iran is a grave threat” another. No lobbyist/PAC another. More. Go check the politifact obameter for more specific lies.
Pro bono? Pardon me, but that is hysterical. Phil Berg has been suing barry – him – since August 2008. He still is. All you have to do is go to Berg’s site or the Supreme Court to see the amount of filings to know that it is costing someone serious cash. The principles may not be charging – in cash. But somebody’s paying the little folks all the way down to the copymaker and postage on the subpoenas. And besides, fifty bucks is more money spent than necessary, if he didn’t have anything to hide.
ps. Robert Bauer, barry’s personal lawyer, doesn’t need to be paid in cash. He got a gigantic bonus – barry made him lawyer to the DNC. Pay to play presidential style.
And where did he show anything to anyone? He has never shown a copy of his long form birth certificate. He has never shown his COLB in person to anyone involved in the lawsuits. If he had – and if it was legit – the cases would not be ongoing. And yes, an examination of the COLB on factcheck would have been enough in the beginning. A long form birth certificate would absolutely be enough. Even a look at his passport records would be enough.
It goes to your opening comment – that they don’t hand out a copy of them – they clearly do – he clearly had one – and you clearly just admitted to it.
And who said it was destroyed? Factcheck is certain! they have seen it.
Note how they say the “State Department” not the Constitution. And they call it a “birth certificate” when it is a Certification of Live Birth. How can one trust a “factcheck” when they don’t use the proper words. What were they allegedly vetting?
Spend some time…it resides…brought home, Do this sound like document examiners/factcheckers to you?
They brought home a few photographs and can “assure” readers that it’s stamped on the back and bears a seal but they never post a full page image. That is not a factcheck. That is a take my word for it. That’s the $50 bucks. Factcheck means to prove – provide objective evidence – not “reassure”.

The State of Hawaii does not issue hospital records of birth as birth certificates; it issues certified copies only, per the link.
These are terms used depending upon what document the State issues. Some States issue only certified copies according to stored records, like Hawaii, where as others simply issue a photocopy of what is on file. However, the legitimacy of the document as proof of birth is not contingent upon the form issued, but on the fact that the State issues it.
Well, no, given that the question was whether there were original records on file. Why should he have to let anyone vet it in the first place? The people who need to see it have done so. A person’s vital records are not yours to paw over just because you ignore the burden of proof which is on you. You and your ilk are making the accusation that a document, legal on the face of it according to the State government, is false, therefore you need to pony up the evidence in that regard. I’ve yet to see any, and nor has anyone else.
Allegedly; lots of people make this claim, but nobody ever seems to actually show any evidence of it.
Seriously? You’re dragging up Sun Yat-Sen, who died more than thirty years before Hawaii even became a State? In what universe does that have any bearing on the issue?
Furthermore, while Hawaii does issue birth certificates to children born abroad or who have been adopted by American citizens, it does not knowingly issue documents giving false information; Maya Soetoro-Ng’s alleged birth certificate, for example, would give her place of birth as Jakarta, Indonesia. Barack Obama’s lists his birthplace as Honolulu.
Big of you. And as I said, Hawaii does not release documents in that fashion.
How is FactCheck not a neutral site? Also, why should he? His vital records are not public property, President or not.
Its legitimacy has been questioned by people with an axe to grind, people who are frequently racists and sore losers. If you’re going to protest over my calling them racists, I suggest you take a look at the comments on Leo Donofrio’s blog or Orly Taitz’s frenzied ramblings sometime.
And why should he release it to the general public? The presumption is that he is a US citizen from birth, per common law, statute and SCOTUS decision, and thus eligible to the office; if you think he isn’t, it’s up to you to disprove it.

I have a fairly good grasp on the facts – which is why I’m pretty certain you’re wrong.
For one, it is isn’t up to President Obama – Hawaiian law prohibits release of the “long form” document; which, by the way, is NOT a birth certificate. That is a birth record, compiled by the hospital or equivalent local medical personnel. A birth certificate is the official document issued by the State, in whatever form, that certifies birth. This may be a simple certified copy of the birth record, or it may be a document generated from the records held on file; either way, though, it is the real, legal and significant document.
Also, why should he release it? The kind of people who call him “usurper” have been shown to be impervious to facts on many occasions, and will likely find some other thing to latch onto. A good example of this, following release of his birth certificate, is the nonsensical theorising over the meaning of “natural-born citizen”, which -gasp!- just so happens to exclude Obama. What a telling coincidence.
I’d go so far, in fact, to say that anyone liable to ask the question is as frothing mad and disconnected from reality as Orly Taitz…

The state of Hawaii will absolutely release the long form birth certificate to barry. And that is what it is called – long form birth certificate. What was released was the CERTIFICATION of Live Birth, otherwise known as the short form.
barry says the COLB is enough – but he will not allow anyone to vet it. Why? Dr Fukino said absolutely nothing about the COLB. barry’s own sister – who freely admits she was born in Indonesia – has a perfectly legal Hawaiian COLB. Folks not born in Hawaii could get COLBs. Sun yat-sen had a perfectly legal Hawaiian COLB. In itself, it means nothing.
If he doesn’t want to show the long form – fine. Why hasn’t he released the COLB – which he says is enough – to someone other than factcheck and Kos – neither of which are neutral sites?
He put it on the internet for people to see and yet no one but factcheck ad kos have seen it and the legitimacy of it has been questioned.
And why should he release it?
Because it is one of the three requirements to be president. And because he keeps claiming “transparency” when he is anything but. At the very least he is a liar.
Not a single person has been able to explain why he keeps spending money in courts across the US fighting something that could be handled with $6. Completely cleared up and put to rest. And it’s something he could have done last August.
Why didn’t he?
