Fr Weslin/Fr Jenkins/Notre Dame posts
Hard to believe someone is saying NO to barry. Maybe because it is Senator McCain territory. barry accepted an offer to speak at Arizona State University’s commencement but he won’t be getting anything in return. It is customary to award the speaker with an honorary degree, which is to recognize “significant contributions to education and society over the course of a person’s career”.
ASU Media Relations Director Sharon Keller:
His body of work is yet to come. That’s why we’re not recognizing him with a degree at the beginning of his presidency.
Which means he hasn’t done anything thus far to deserve it. Makes you wonder if they got a hold of his school records. barry of course has not commented. Will he show up now that they’ve embarrassed him?
He is slated to speak at Notre Dame – despite the abortion controversy – and the Naval Academy.

I shoulda never bowed to that GD Arab.

71?
Don’t think so. 71 y/o gentlemen don’t say “BITE THIS” or “cover-your-ass”. They’ve lived long enough to how to phrase their words to get their point across without being vulgar. They understand how to have a respectful conversation, especially if there is a difference of opinions. They don’t use words their crass grandchildren would.
Politico is barry’s propaganda machine and Michael Allen himself has admitted to his barry bias. Just look to the words he used: “widely mocked”. It was not widely mocked.
Again, it doesn’t matter what happens. They made their proclamation and nothing will ever change that.
I am not “informed” by any of those folks listed. Had you take a moment to read the top of the blog you would have seen that this blog is not affiliated with any candidate, political party or organization. And had you looked at the source, you would have seen that it is CNN – another friend of barry’s.
You certainly seem to have spent a lot of time investigating this university that you refer to as meaningless.
I assure you he cares very much now that he has been slighted.
From the roughly 4200 colleges/universities in the US, he is going to give three addresses: Notre Dame, Naval Academy and ASU. He chose ASU. He chose this non-meaningful school to grace his presence with. Nobody forced him to. So clearly he thought there was some merit in showing up there. Pandering to the youth group would be one – thing is it’s no longer one of the top 3 party schools – it’s 17th. And then there’s the obvious reason – Arizona is Senator McCain’s state.
Again he thought it was meaningful enough to speak at.
The real question is why is he not speaking at one of the 8 Ivy League schools? Why is he not speaking at his alma maters: Harvard and Columbia?
Where he isn’t speaking says more than where he is.
And this:
sure sounds like it came from one of those “mouths that roar”.
