Kathleen Savio’s niece comments on lawsuit

April 21, 2009

Kathleen Savio’s niece comments on the wrongful death lawsuit that her family (Kathleen’s father and sister) filed against Drew Peterson. The lawsuit asks for more than $100,000 and alleges Peterson killed Savio by repeatedly beating her about the head and drowning her in the bathtub. Savio was murdered shortly before the trial was to begin concerning the division of property and that is considered the motive for the murder. If they won, the money would be split somehow between Kathleen’s kids and her sister and father who now have custody of the estate. Don’t know what the split would be. I don’t know i they’re getting paid to be executors of Kathleen’s estate.

MELISSA DOMAN: It’s on the path to getting the justice she should have gotten years ago.

DOMAN: Whether it’s while he’s here or after he dies, someway he will get what he deserves.

PETERSON: I don’t believe there’s any evidence that will come out that will be credible that will show that Kathleen was-even that there’s a murder involved. I still think it was an accident.

PETERSON: The only people who will benefit from this lawsuit are the lawyers.

JOEL BRODSKY said the lawsuit favors Drew because they can’t compel Peterson to testify due to the pending criminal case. And yet he’s planning on asking the judge to put the case on hold until after resolution of the criminal case.

His kids are the ones who will be completely traumatized as both of their mothers are gone most likely at the hand of their father. And now Christina is gone.
