Ruling: Kathleen Savio estate

Drew Peterson posts: update 5-28

April 30, 2009

Hey Marcie T.

Hope you figured out the last post. Kathleen Savio was initially thought to have died without a will. Then in walks Peterson’s uncle with a handwritten one saying Kathleen didn’t want her family near her estate. She had been murdered just short of dividing the marital assets. Long story short – Peterson got the whole estate. Savio family — Savio’s father, Henry Savio, and sister, Anna Doman– appealed and won. Melissa Doman is Kathleen Savio’s niece.

This is the Feb 4th ruling to Peterson’s appeal. He lost – the Savio family remained in control of the estate.

March 11th: Peterson filed an appeal with the Illinois Supreme Court challenging this lower court ruling.

April 21 Savio’s father and sister file a wrongful death lawsuit against Peterson.

Special Grand Jury investigating Kathleen Savio’s murder and Stacy Peterson’s disappearance are still convening.

Peterson has not been charged with any crime.
