Mancow & Cassidy: Stacy’s sister vs Peterson

Updated: Drew Peterson posts (5-9)

May 1, 2009

One wonders if this was planned or just heat of the moment. Stacy’s sister Cassandra Cales called in to WLS Mancow & Cassidy and lit into Peterson using using appropriately coarse language. Wonder how she was able to wait so long?

Taped on Wednesday (29th) and aired on Thursday. I don’t know why they need to have the music going as well. Mancow has this strange realationship with Peterson. He says he believes that he is innocent.

Joel Brodsky shows that he really wasn’t preparing. He says flat out that there will never be an indictment. A week later and there is.

AUDIO

[Incomplete transcript – just relevant quotes.]

CALES: Hey, Drew how’re ya doing?

PATERSON: Hi, Cassandra, how’re ya been?

CALES: I’m pretty bad, Drew. Where’s my sister, you know?…This is about you Drew. What did you do to my sister?

PETERSON: Not a thing.

CALES: You killed her after she got off the phone. Between 10:15 and 10:59 the State Police know where you were, and what you did, and you will pay.

CASSIDY: …What do you think happened then?

CALES: I know what happened and so do the State Police.

CASSIDY: What?

CALES: And Drew knows. It’s not for the public’s eyes. The truth will be told in court, when Drew goes to trial.

CASSIDY: Are you saying that was the moment that your sister was murdered.

CALES: I’m not going to answer that question.

………………..

CASSIDY: Are we being unfair to you?

CALES: No. Drew’s the unfair one – taking my sister’s life.

…He murdered my sister. BLEEPER.

CASSIDY: You think he’s gonna be indicted soon, charged soon, and that’s it?

CALES: Oh, absolutely. His days are numbered. It’s coming soon. Watch your back, Drew. Drew, just keep talking, because you keep digging yourself in a deeper hole.

———-

MANCOW: Did Drew ever express remorse?

CALES: No. Absolutely not.

MANCOW: He never reached out after she disappeared?

CALES: No. I called him.

MANCOW: Any chance she ran off?

CALES: No chance she ran off. Absolutely not. She loved them kids with everything.

She hasn’t been able to Stacy’s children and he goes off on her driving and that she needed to be Tasered.

CALES: Cuz it’s all about me, Drew. You’re the murderer here. What did you do to my sister? You’re the one going to jail. You’re going to go to prison for the rest of your life.

Then Peterson’s lawyer Joel Brodsky jumps in saying that they’ve been hearing about the indictment for 18 months and that they basically have nothing.

BRODSKY: We’ve been hearing it’s coming down the ….it’s going to be tomorrow…the next day….it’s imminent, it’s imminent. It’s meaningless….They don’t have any evidence that Drew did anything wrong.

PERIOD. END OF STORY. THERE WILL NOT BE AN INDICTMENT. PERIOD.

Just as stupid and arrogant as his client.

……….

CALES: My friend talked to my sister at 10:15 am.  She was laying in bed, and Drew wasn’t in bed. Where were you, Drew? You’re a BLEEPER BLEEPER. You killed her after she got off the phone, you BLEEPING piece of BLEEP.

She hangs up. Do believe the first bleep was a F then a MF then F then S.

…………………

MANCOW: Can you say something nice about Stacy?

PETERSON: She was a sweetheart of a girl. Me and her had a lot of fun together.

—————

MANCOW: What does you think happened?

PETERSON: This is what I believe happened–

Cassidy interrupts saying a real mother wouldn’t leave her kids. The State Police must be ready to smack him. First rule of interrogation. Let the suspect talk.

PETERSON: Her own mother ran off and disappeared in the same way.

MANCOW: What do you think happened? You were going to tell us.

PETERSON: I don’t know. I think Cassandra here knows more than she is saying about Stacy’s whereabouts.

MANCOW: You maintain you didn’t murder Stacy Peterson.

PETERSON: Right.

MANCOW: Do you have any idea who may have done it?

PETERSON: Who knows if she was even murdered. I think she ran off – like I believe.

Then Brodsky goes off on what horrible things mothers do to their children as a way of making it reasonable that Stacy would leave her children.

MANCOW: I hope he didn’t do it for the sake of the kids….Awful story for everyone involved – except maybe Joel – if he’s getting a ton of money.

MANCOW: I’m going give you the last word, Drew. What do you want to say to Chicago? What do you want to say to the people?

PETERSON: I’m not guilty.

CASSIDY: Of Stacy or Kathleen Savio?

PETERSON: Neither of the incidences.
