Here’s what Gibbs had to say on consecutive days. As usual he lied and said he didn’t know how it was being done in Montana even though it’s been decided for weeks. Here Chuckie Todd head of barrymedia describes how it was first come first serve and how they made sure to pick on a guy who had “NRA” on his jacket.

Q Okay. He was asking the audience “Who’s a skeptic?” He seemed to be soliciting tougher questions. So to the extent that there weren’t as many of those folks present as we’ve seen in other town halls — not necessarily yellers, but people who have legitimate concerns — is there anything that you guys can do going forward as you approach these town halls to get an audience that’s more representative of divergent views? For example –

GIBBS: What I’m saying is, I don’t — I’m not assuming that the audience wasn’t in some ways representative. Again, I sense disappointment that he didn’t get yelled at. But I think there were a number of people in there that had concerns and wanted to ask the President directly. I think we’re going to continue to pick people randomly to come to a town hall meeting and they’ll raise their hand and the President will ask.

Q A smaller fraction of the audience, those tickets, as I understand it, go to offices through elected officials.

MR. GIBBS: I think Bill told you guys, the pool, that on Sunday or Monday.

Q A smaller fraction. Would you — but to Democratic lawmakers. Would you consider at any time to have a more open debate? Would you consider, for example, in Montana, giving to the Republican congressman?

MR. GIBBS: Savannah, I think the President feels very comfortable with the fact that he’s having a representative discussion despite people’s disappointment that he wasn’t yelled at.

Q And then secondly, you talked a little bit yesterday about the town halls and how people sign up for them. And I’m wondering if you could just give us a little bit more information. I’m curious how many people do try to get in. How far in advance do you put a sign-up list up on the Web site? Or just how does it work if I were a citizen wanting to come to a town hall?

MR. GIBBS: Well, obviously, the size is determined by the venue with which — and the capacity with which the venue can fill.

Q How far in advance do you advertise them?

MR. GIBBS: I don’t know — I don’t know how far in advance the Portsmouth one was. I know that a lot of this stuff is done through the local — local media outlets and the local paper that sends you to a Web site to sign up for.

Q And does the White House find that there are many, many people wanting to go that can –

MR. GIBBS: Sure, always.
Q — can get in, and it’s random, you said? Picked by computer?
MR. GIBBS: Random, yes — was for New Hampshire, yes.
Q Is it that way always?

MR. GIBBS: I mean, there’s different sign-up for different populations, but, yes, that’s the way it was done in New Hampshire.

Q Is that the way it will be done this weekend?

MR. GIBBS: I admit I don’t have clarity on how they’re — how it’s done this weekend.

Robert Gibbs comments on Guantanamo Bay. Evidently representatives from the departments of Defense and Homeland Security, the U.S. Marshals Service and the Bureau of Prisons checked out the max security prison in Standish, Michigan as a way to get the 229 detainees out of Gitmo by Jan 21, 2010.

From CNN:

Administration officials have said they are looking at installations that could hold courtrooms for federal criminal trials as well as military commissions.

Federal criminal trials? That means they would be afforded rights. That happens they would then are able to address grievances as far as torture.

When asked if closing and not bringing them to the US – Gibbs said “I‘m not sure that’s going to happen before the 20th of January”.

Q Robert, can I ask about the visit by these federal officials — Defense, DHS folks — to the prison in Michigan today?

MR. GIBBS: Yes.

Q: Does that visit indicate that the administration has concluded that at the end of the day, some number of Guantanamo detainees are going to have to be housed in facilities in the United States, and that they can be done so safely and without undermining national security?

MR. GIBBS: Well, again, this is a very preliminary sight survey. As I’ve said before, no final decisions about any of this has been made, as we continue to work through the caseload of existing prisoners at Guantanamo, how they can be evaluated for, as the President has talked about, bringing about swift and certain justice. For some, that may be a transfer to additional country because courts have deemed that they don’t — that they can’t be held based on evidence. Obviously, some are — some are going to be tried in either revamped military commissions, or in Article III courts. The visit to Standish is preliminary — is to do a preliminary site survey. No final decisions have been made.

Q So you really think it’s possible to — at the end of the day, that all of the other options, the non-bringing them back to America options, could eventually take care of the entire population?

MR. GIBBS: I‘m not sure that’s going to happen before the 20th of January. I think, obviously — obviously, it is our hope that each one of these is going to be evaluated for how you bring about that justice. Obviously some of that is going to take some time. I will remind you that in the intervening six or seven years, I think three people have been through — two or three people have been through some sort of loosely defined, I’m going to say, judicial process. I won’t talk about courts or what have you. So obviously, we’ve got a number of options to look at.

Q The 20th of January — what is it –

MR. GIBBS: Twenty-first of January.

Q Right. What is it that will happen by then? Might not happen by then?

MR. GIBBS: Well, whether or not each person has been moved out of Guantanamo by the 21st of January, I don’t — yes, sir.

Q I did have a question on health care. But it does seem like that would be breaking the vow, or whatever, that the President made on his first or second day in office to close Guantanamo in a year’s time? Is that what you’re saying, that that’s –

MR. GIBBS: No, no, no, no, no, no. What I’m saying is that we’re looking at options for — the President intends to maintain and keep his commitment to close Guantanamo in a year.

Q It just depends on what the meaning of the word “close” is, right?

Q But if everybody’s not out of there, how is it closed?

MR. GIBBS: No, no, no, I’m saying that — let me be — let me be — I see now where the confusion is. Obviously they’re looking at the possibility of different sites for moving those that haven’t been through a judicial process or have not been transferred or whatever out of Guantanamo. But I’m not suggesting that they would stay in Guantanamo past the 21st.

Q Whatever happens to those cases, even if they haven’t been finally disposed of, they won’t be at Guantanamo?

MR. GIBBS: Right. That’s the goal of the executive order, yes.

Q The Southern Poverty Law Center reported yesterday detailing the rise of extremist militias in this country, and attributed largely the — to Obama’s presidency. Does the administration believe domestic terrorism poses as large a threat to the country’s integrity as to threats outside her borders?

MR. GIBBS: I would be out of my depth in — without talking to some security experts about that. Obviously the President is concerned about threats to our security wherever they may come from.

Gene Robinson of the Washington Post comments on the “birthers” on Morning Joe. He did an accompanying article in his column because it was barry’s birthday. I wonder if he realizes the words he used are just as bigoted as someone going after Muslims, Jews, Blacks or Lesbians. Switch out “birther” with any of the preceding and what do you hear?

He is in his 50′s and writes:

If there has been a more clinically insane political phenomenon in my lifetime than the “birthers,” I’ve missed it.

Joe Scarborough asks him about the various conspiracies: Bush41 buying cocaine from South America to distribute to people of color in south central LA, meeting the Ayatollah in Paris to tell him to hold the hostages until Ronald Reagan gets into office, Michael Moore and Bush 43 & Osama Bin Laden’s family, JFK assassination.

And he responds that the birthers are “particularly stubborn, persistent and loud crazies who have gotten currency for this bizarre conspiracy theory” and that it was the president’s birthday so he couldn’t resist.

Here are some of his written words from his blog post:

He knows it is not paranoid fantasy and if he doesn’t than he’s just plain stupid.

And of course it has to be the right wing.

Yet it persists, out there on the farthest fringes of the right-wing blogosphere.

Mentions Lou Dobbs. Has to discredit any media member who isn’t following the party line:

Oh, and also on CNN, which is usually a little closer to reality.

And here GENE outright lies.

It has been definitively shown that there is not a scintilla of truth, or even the slightest ambiguity, in the whole “birther” idea.

Officials in Hawaii have attested again and again that Obama was, in fact, born in Honolulu on Aug. 4, 1961.

LIE.

When the “birthers” demanded to see his birth certificate, state officials produced it.

LIE.

Journalists have looked at this complete nonstory from every angle and concluded that it is, in fact, a complete nonstory.

LIE.

There are no such things as “journalists” in the MSM. They have all been corrupted.

Then he brings up the newspaper notices that mean absolutely nothing. No one vetted where they came from, no barry’s name, no actual place of birth and the address – the only verifiable fact – barry was never verified to have lived there.

There are probably people out there who think the world is flat, and they’re not worth writing about.

He did, didn’t he?

Then he brings up the KOS poll that was ridiculously non-scientific. I have to post that. And then he mentions Lou Dobbs who has said all along that he believes barry was born in US but because barry claims transparency he should just produce it.

Also beyond the Outer Limits of sanity is CNN anchor Lou Dobbs, who has been giving prime-time exposure to the “birther” lunacy — even while denying that he believes in it. Dobbs’ obsession with the “story” has embarrassed the network, which has tried to position itself as untainted by political bias. CNN/U.S. president Jon Klein has pronounced the story “dead,” but insists it’s legitimate for Dobbs to examine the alleged controversy, though in fact no controversy exists.

Funny that within 24 hours, Klein changed his tune. Also proven is CNN’s little factcheck with KITTY PILGRIM was a complete and utter menagerie of lies. And “Beyond the Outer Limits of sanity”? Follow the link above and listen to what Dobbs said. He said he believes barry is a citizen – but just produce the birth certificate. How is that the outer limits of anything but logic?

And then the inevitable built in excise for everything barry does – birthers are racists.

Is this an orchestrated campaign to somehow delegitimize Obama’s presidency? Is the fact that he is the first African-American president a factor? Is it that some people can’t or won’t accept that he won the election and serves as commander-in-chief?

Maybe, maybe not. Trying to analyze the “birther” phenomenon would mean taking it seriously, and taking it seriously would be like arguing about the color of unicorns. About all that can be said is that a bunch of lost, confused and frightened people have decided to seek refuge in conspiratorial make-believe. I hope they’re harmless, and I hope they seek help.

Frankly, that pisses me off. What kind of a moron – a Pulitzer Prize winning moron – doesn’t realize that it’s barry’s fault the “birthers” exist? Had barry actually released his birth certificate and if it actually said he was born in Hawaii – this would be a complete non-issue.

It’s shocking to me who are these Pulitzer Prize winning journalists. Mo Dowd won one and she is a confirmed plagiarist.

And instead of telling barry to just release it, GENE hopes American citizens the lost, confused and frightened people who have decided to seek refuge in conspiratorial make-believe with a legitimate – yes LEGITIMATE – question are harmless and get help.

I look with great satisfaction to when these “journalists” are proven corrupt and barry is proven to be a fraud. It just may be that I will be looking from beyond.

Patrick Kane is going to speak to the media tomorrow – his first comments since his arrest over an alleged scuffle with a cabbie over a fare.

Monday through Wednesday, NFL players will be working out at the Seven Bridges Ice Arena in Woodridge in an attempt to get on the US Olympic Hockey Team at the “US Olympic Orientation Camp”.

2010 Olympics are in Vancouver.

The Grand Jury has begun to hear the case and Kane’s lawyer Paul Cambria said Kane is not going to testify.

The charges against Kane: Class C felony = second-degree robbery and two Class A misdemeanors: = fourth-degree criminal mischief and theft of services.

Grand Jury options: defer matter to city court, downgrade the felony charge to a misdemeanor or indict on the felony charges.

Hard to believe they would indict their hometown hero. In the old days this would have had a chance to be handled privately between the three parties. I don’t know about his cousin but Patrick Kane isn’t likely to do anything like this again and is not a “problem” teammate.

The Department of Transportation issued a report in July that was critical of FAA for not implementing safety improvements they recommended, including collision avoidance technology. Which needs to be implemented by all aircraft flying in the corridor for all of them to be seen. Cost is the limiting factor = $15K

Report:

Aircraft carrying 30 passengers or less have a fatal accident rate 50 times higher than commercial air carriers.

So now the FAA is taking heed. They put together a group that will review present operating procedures, focusing on VFR flying – at or under 1,100 ft – where the pilots are on their own and fly by sight. This accident took place at 1,100 ft and only when the helicopter reached the altitude did it appear on radar – by then too late.

FAA Airspace Group Will Recommend Safety Improvements in New York

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Federal Aviation Administration today convened a New York Airspace Working Group that will review current operating procedures over the Hudson and East Rivers and recommend safety improvements in two weeks to FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt.

FAA air traffic and safety experts will review and analyze a variety of proposals to change the operating procedures in the Visual Flight Rules corridors over the two rivers. Both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters currently operate in the same airspace at or below 1,100 feet.

Prior to the accident, there wasn’t a dedicated frequency or mandated communication between pilots in the corridor – not even the sightseeing helicopters.

“We strongly encourage pilots to use standard practices in that area now, but it may make sense to require them,” Babbitt said. “We’ve heard a lot of other good ideas about improving safety there and I’m looking for a quick, but thorough review by the safety experts.”

The group will solicit comments from helicopter and aircraft operators and will review air traffic and pilot procedures before making its report to Babbitt on August 28.

Hard to believe theses simple measures weren’t already in play.

In the meantime, Babbitt urged all pilots who operate in the area to follow the procedures outlined in a Notice to Airmen the FAA issued on August 11. The NOTAM advises pilots who fly in the airspace over the two rivers to turn on their lights, use special radio frequencies, announce when they enter the airspace and fly at 140 knots or less.

Found the NTSB formal report

The accident happened as the plane was being handed over from Teterboro Airport (TET) to Newark Airport (NEW).

On duty at Teterboro: Five ATCs. Two were on break and the “front line manager” had left around 11:45. The other two ATCs were manning the tower: one working “ground control, local control, and arrival radar” (and was in charge) and ATC in question was working the “flight data/clearance delivery position”.

The Teterboro ATC made a non-business related phone call and his supervisor had left the building on a personal errand. Not sure if the actions were contributed in any way to the crash but both were placed on administrative leave pending investigation.

TET ATC: (11:48:30) Cleared plane for takeoff.

TET: Plane took off (11:49:55)

TET: Warned pilot about a different helicopter and told pilot to fly at or below 1100 ft meaning VFR – fly by sight. He also notified that helicopter pilot.

He then made a phone call.

MSNBC: “Phone call was to a “female employee of Baltimore-based AvPORTS, a contractor for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which manages the airport, according to port authority officials about a dead cat on the taxiway.”

Was still interacting with pilot.

TET: Plane flew south until ATC directed it to turn left toward the Hudson.

TET ATC: (11:52:20) Told pilot to contact NEW.

TET – NEW transfer (11:52:20)

HELICOPTER: Identified by NEW radar at (11:52:27).

No communication with controllers – not required.

NEW: Did see the traffic but had not yet heard from the pilot so he asked TET to steer pilot away to the southwest.

PILOT: Overheard NEW-TET exchange and acknowledged.

TET: Tried to radio the pilot twice but no response – the second time (11:52:50)

(11:52:54) Aural/visual alarms at TET & NEW signal conflict of two aircraft.

Neither ATC recalled hearing/seeing them.

COLLISION: (11:53:14) at 1100 ft.

(11:53:19) TET calls NEW to ask about plane.

NEW says PILOT never contacted him.

There were no further air traffic control contacts with either aircraft.

Not sure if this means they knew they collided.

NTSB:

The role that air traffic control might have played in this accident will be determined by the NTSB as the investigation progresses. Any opinions rendered at this time are speculative and premature.

And yet in the report NTSB writes:

At 1152:20 the Teterboro controller instructed the pilot to contact Newark on a frequency of 127.85; the airplane reached the Hudson River just north of Hoboken about 40 seconds later. At that time there were several aircraft detected by radar in the area immediately ahead of the airplane, including the accident helicopter, all of which were potential traffic conflicts for the airplane. The Teterboro tower controller, who was engaged in a phone call at the time, did not advise the pilot of the potential traffic conflicts.

So TET ATC handed off the plane at 11:52:20 – but the helicopter didn’t show up on radar until 7 seconds later on NEW radar. And then at 11:53 the plane arrived at the river there and the radar showed conflict – including the accident helicopter – but the plane had already been handed off. And although the PILOT overheard the exchange between NEW who saw the conflict and TET – the plane had not yet contacted NEW and was flying VFR, which essentially means flying by sight.

MSNBC: FAA re: the ATC and his supervisor:

We have no reason to believe at this time that these actions contributed to the accident.

MSNBC: NTSB Chief Deborah Hersman:

Too early to speculate whether or not ATC was causal in this accident and it’s inappropriate for others (FAA) to do so.

MSNBC: PORT AUTHORITY:

We are coordinating with the NTSB on this ongoing investigation. Based on the findings when the investigation is completed, we will take whatever appropriate action is necessary regarding this contract employee and contractor.

Ray Adams is president of Newark Airport’s branch of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA). [See full statements in links above]

According to CNN:

NATCA’s Adams hotly disputed the suggestion that the Teterboro controller could see the helicopter on the radar scope. “That is incorrect,” Adams said. “The target [helicopter] did not appear on the radar scope” until after the handoff, he said. Referring to the Teterboro controller, Adams said, “He is not culpable in this crash.”

Also from CNN:

NATCA spokesman Doug Church, noting that the air traffic controllers union is a party to the NTSB’s investigation, acknowledged the public dispute was unusual. “This is an extremely rare moment,” he said. “We value our party status; this is not a step we take likely.”

My guess is that was meant to say “lightly”.

What I don’t understand is they had previously said that below 1100 ft there is no way for ATC to follow aircraft.

Also don’t know how often the pilot of the plane had traveled down the Hudson corridor.

Further info from NTSB report:

Plane pilot: instrument airplane single and multi-engine, flight hours 1,020, third-class medical 5-14-09.

Helicopter pilot: rotorcraft helicopter and instrument helicopter, flight hours 3,010, second-class medical 6-16-09.

Most of the wreckage fell in to the Hudson River, right main landing gear wheel of the plane, fell on the road in Hoboken.

CNN broadcast a pix of it and talked to the man who saw it fall right in front of his car.

8-9 helicopter recovered, except main rotor and transmission.

8-11 airplane recovered, except both wings.

GPS recovered from both, digital camera from helicopter, digital photographs and video from witnesses.

There are no cockpit recorders. Not required.

An NRA member has asked barry how he was going to pay for it. Of course the answer wasn’t shown on TV – just the fact that an NRA member got to ask a question. He had NRA on his sweatshort so it was pretty easy to guess he was not a barryfan.

The man said he believed in the Constitution and at the end of barry’s question he said:

By the way, I believe in the Constitution, too.

Edwards’ lies = barry nomination

John Edwards admitted to the obvious: he is the father of that baby. He lied and lied and lied as the statement below shows. He said it ended in 2006 which of course is physiologically impossible.

Relevant quotes from John Edwards’ 8-8-08 statement:

I was honest in every painful detail with my family…

But being 99 percent honest is no longer enough.

misconduct took place for a short period in 2006. It ended then.

I am and have been willing to take any test necessary to establish the fact that I am not the father of any baby, and I am truly hopeful that a test will be done so this fact can be definitively established.

And today the press is admitting they “missed it” and that they ignored it because of Elizabeth Edwards. More lies. Just look at Jenny Sanford.

I am not interested in the tabloid nature of this story or the fact that yet another politician had an affair and lied about it.

What’s significant is that this story initially broke in October 2007 by the National Enquirer [read it and see how correct they were] when he was running for president and nothing was done to investigate it. The National Enquirer broke the story because no one else would. They even followed it up on December 19, 2007 with a photo of that woman pregnant. And still nothing happened. Why? Because Edwards had to be in the NH & SC primaries.

And when did the story actual get reported on by barrymedia?

When barry was going out of town August 7-8, 2008 – when his nomination was settled.

Edwards admitted to having the affair in 2006. Therefore, when he initially announced his run on December 28, 2006, he had already been involved. He knew at that very moment that the Republicans would eventually find out if by some chance he would have been the nomination but he announced it anyway. And the DNC knew. Howard Dean is as corrupt as it gets and he is a physician. It’s despicable.

By the time the Enquirer broke the story, Mrs Edwards knew about the affair and so did the DNC and I argue so did the press. But it was ignored and Edwards was allowed to continue on in his quest for the presidency for one reason and one reason only: to divide the vote in Iowa and then in NH and SC, if needed.

And that he did.

Had Edwards been out of the race, then Sen Clinton would have most likely gotten his voters. And it was a fraudulent “caucus” that even Joe Biden joked about – saying ‘Hello, Illinois’ after he said ‘Hello, Iowa’. There was clear evidence of bused in barry voters – they didn’t even bother to hide it – ILLINOIS was written on the side of the bus and black folks got off in a county that had a very small black population. Across the state the blacks make up 2% of the population.

Not to mention barry’s fairy tale on Iraq – that I still cannot believe people bought – and are still buying. In Iowa, the #1 issue was Iraq – hence barry’s vote. But as Iraq slipped to #3 and the economy went to #1 – voters voted for Hillary Clinton – why she came on strong at the end. His entire campaign was a lie and she outpolled him every time on handling the economy. On March 30, 2008, barry did not even have the economy in his top three. Watch him on The View.

If barry doesn’t win Iowa or even come close he’s out. But with Edwards he was given a fighting chance. And that’s why barry’s campaign was so crazy about losing New Hampshire. They didn’t want anyone to see through the fraud barry was and weren’t sure how long Edwards was going to last. But it didn’t matter. The press became infatuated and took over as barrymedia and carried him the whole way.

And the DNC had also made sure that barry would have an advantage. They allowed Nevada and South Carolina primaries to be moved up and not Michigan or Florida. Just imagine if it were the other way around? And imagine if the media actually ran with the stories that barry had gone INTO SC with a memo painting the Clintons as racists and that Jesse Jackson was not at all upset about what Bill Clinton said. Nope, the Clintons after 35 years in politics suddenly became racists and barry suddenly got over 92% of the black vote even though his platform did not change one bit.

Identity politics, proven.

So the whole thing stinks and it’s just more proof of how the election was engineered.

Remember that with all of barry’s lies, gaffes not reported on, non-vetting – especially as regards his Iraq myth, the probarry media bias, anti-Clinton attacks,  the misreporting on the “fairy tale” and those ridiculous allegations of racism that people still believe – Hillary Clinton had more people actually pull the lever for her and barry’s delegates came from “winning” 13/14 caucuses – only four of which were blue states.

This election will go down as more corrupt than whatever Jeb Bush did or did not do in Florida. The primaries (hence the nomination) were forever illegitimized by the behind the scenes, out of the range of cameras wrangling about Michigan.

Imagine if Hillary Clinton was given barry delegates from a state in which her name was not on the ballot.

Never happen.

Imagine barry being told every day to just get out.

Never happen.

Imagine barry going in to the Convention with the possibility of getting the nomination since Hillary Clinton did not have the required amount – would people have told him to just concede?

Never happen.

Would barry have campaigned for Hillary Clinton before she was nominated?

Not a chance in hell.

Add to that the fact that barry has never been vetted and no one knows where his actual physical place of birth was and the whole thing is a joke.

So, you folks who think this was in any way a legal – let alone fair – election, I hope you live long enough to have the historians prove it to you.

According to Life Site News, Fr Jenkins sits on the board of sits on the Board of Directors of Millennium Promise, “an organization dedicated to fighting poverty in Africa that promotes contraceptives and abortion”. His name is right above Angelina Jolie’s.

It appears to be a tremendous organization that is doing a lot of good work. Evidently Fr Jenkins connection is through Uganda, where his order – Congregation of the Holy Cross.

Kelly – this was posted previously but cannot find it. Just one more of the many posts that disappear/have disappeared. It’s a statement from Fr Weslin’s website: Lambs of Christ released on June 8th when he was arraigned on his trespass/resisting arrest charges in St Joesph, Indiana. I take it you’ve seen the videos of his arrests [follow link below] and you know he did not resist in any was and in fact was unbelievably manhandled – even after he was handcuffed. I don’t recall running across any info on what happened in court and I couldn’t get at the court proceedings at the court’s website. All you need to know is at that point Fr Jenkins had refused to drop the charges or even “have a dialogue” with Fr Weslin. Not sure that article ever got posted. Again there is a paucity of info out there for obvious reasons. I have no idea why Fr Weslin’s lawyer does not have an email address.

Father Weslin, was twice arrested at the University of Notre Dame during commencement week. His arrests are captured on YouTube and have been viewed over 200,000 times. Father Weslin was first arrested as he carried a cross and prayed aloud while walking onto campus. The second arrest occurred when Father Weslin was praying the rosary and carrying a banner of Our Lady of Guadalupe onto campus. Father Norman U. Weslin, O.S. was in St. Joseph Superior Court today (6/8/09) to be arraigned on these charges. With regard to the arrests at Notre Dame and the current prosecutions of the same, Father Weslin issues the following statement:

1. A person who comes to Notre Dame to pray for the right to life cannot be a trespasser.

2. We are not protesters, we are lay and religious Christians bearing witness to the truth of life.

3. We don’t want Notre Dame to irrevocably lose its Catholic identity. We want her to return to her rightful place as Our Lady’s University and our premiere Catholic Institution of higher learning.

4. Cardinal George is right. Notre Dame has lost its understanding of what it means to be Catholic. We, as the Church’s faithful servants, are trying to restore that understanding to Notre Dame, so it will again possess the grace to be a great Catholic Christian Institution.

5. Father Jenkins has said that he personally, and the University of Notre Dame as an institution, believe in the importance of dialogue. We have sought dialogue with Father Jenkins on these issues that are core to our shared faith. Our Pope has identified the right to life as an absolute and fundamental tenet of our faith. To date, Father Jenkins has refused our request to meet, opting instead to let the legal system insulate him from dialogue with his brother and sister members of the mystical body of Christ. We again call on Father Jenkins to meet with us to try to heal these wounds and to explore ways to prayerfully move forward in reclaiming Notre Dame’s Catholic identity.

Fr Weslin manhandled prior to arrest made necessary by barry

It is impossible to translate this technically, so I’m going to take a guess. I have dyslexia and the poster is a lawyer who must litigate very segmented issues like patents or formulas or something because his words looked all SQUARE and never got going because of the Morse Code like P,U{n}c(t_u;a.”ti”o[n]. I don’t think I’ve ever read anything that didn’t have a single round sound.

What was at issue as far as Notre Dame, barry, Prof Mary Ann Glendon, Fr Weslin, Bishop D’arcy and Francis Cardinal George, et al was whether Fr Jenkins, by inviting barry – a non-Catholic,  whose abortion stance is as diametrically opposed to the Catholic Church’s absolute sanctity of life stand as possible – violated a written policy set forth by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops as referenced in Prof Glendon’s letter.

2004 USCCB’s “Catholics in Political Life,” said that the Church “should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles.”

Fr Jenkins checked it out legally and scholastically and came to the conclusion that it didn’t.

Bottom line:

Yes – barry’s views are as far away from the Church as one can get.

Yes – he is a politician.

And yes – he has an agenda that he would be addressing – however teleprompter parsed – as it always is.

BUT. He is not a Catholic. Period. End of legal story. He could be get his award.

So, technically and legally, Fr Jenkins did NOT violate what was laid out in Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) 2004.

Morally, from his fellow Catholic priests’ viewpoint, there’s no question that awarding barry – who has vowed never to make abortion illegal – is wrong.

That Fr Weslin being manhandled and arrested for protesting abortion on the grounds of a Catholic University is wrong.

And that Professor Mary Ann Glendon not being awarded the Laetare Medal is wrong.

To me, the simple fact that Fr Jenkins went to all the trouble to check it out makes it clear he knew it was “wrong”.

We’ve been asked if The Obama File is back up and if Beckwith (Mr Parker Shannon) is running it.

I don’t know. It’s there and functioning. It has Beckwith’s copyright at the bottom but the “Read Me” goes nowhere. The Sitemeter stats continue. And whois says he’s registered till March 2010.

I clicked on a link and it took forever to load and then everything I tried to click said “can’t find”. My entire browser – Firefox – seized and I had to shut it down and start over. Same thing used to happen at Orly Taitz’s site that I don’t go to anymore.

So I went back and tried a few links – some are there – some are not. I didn’t go there much so I don’t know what percentage of them worked in the first place. I don’t even know what his home page looked like. We have two links that I am aware of on this site to his site and they worked.

After our post that he closed – we got a comment saying there was a mirror site, which I initially approved and then went back and unapproved it because I didn’t know if Beckwith approved it. He clearly did not as he came here and threatened to sue us for having that link there. I don’t know how it got re-approved. The info on the mirror site:

Beckwith told WND nobody could change his mind as in “this guy is coming down, there’s nothing anybody can do about it” and WND has nothing about Beckwith going back up.

The only contact we’ve ever had with him is when he threatened to sue us because of that link to a TOF mirror site. I sent him an email yesterday asking if it was really him and could let us know and no response and nothing on TOF website. The “Read Me” still goes nowhere.

Jason Hommel: $100K reward for barry’s birth certificate

Here’s a private businessman’s reward, which is motivated by money itself. Jason Hommel is offering $100K to anyone who can “prove to his satisfaction” that barry is a natural born citizen. He doesn’t spell out what that would include. He thinks it’s important because: “a foreigner is not as likely to hold U.S. interests as important as foreign interests” . And it’s not a partisan issue since he finds Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi “highly objectionable to my own political preferences”. And that if barry is a NBC and it keeps Biden out of power he will “consider that my money will be well spent”.

I, Jason Hommel, promise that I will give $100,000 to the first person who can prove to my satisfaction that Barack Obama, acting as president of the United States, is a “natural born” citizen of the USA, which is a qualification to hold the office as indicated in the U.S. Constitution.

Copies or links to the previously released, Hawaiian “Certification of Live Birth”, which is NOT a valid Birth Certificate, does not constitute valid proof to claim the reward.

And this thought is frightening:

While Congress is investigating Obama’s birth, they might also want to investigate the Federal Reserve, which might be a foreign owned corporation, one such foreign interest, that is taking away the rights and property of Americans through usury (interest) on fraudulently issued paper money.

CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, after talking to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton displays his disgust concerning Iran’s “show trial” – comparing them to Stalin’s show trials. Zakaria’s friend and colleague, Maziar Bahari, who is a Newsweek reporter and documentary filmmaker, is also on trial.

ZAKARIA: Now for our “What in the World” segment. Here’s what caught my attention this week. It’s a Web site. And unless you read Farsi, you probably don’t know what it says. So, let me explain.

It’s the Web site of the former president of Iran, Mohammad Khatami. And he declares the ongoing trials of some 100 Iranian opposition figures, politicians, journalists, to be show trials. It is the latest in an ever-escalating series of charges made by major leaders in Iran against the regime.

And I can safely say that Khatami’s charge is true, because my friend and colleague, Maziar Bahari, is on trial. He’s a Newsweek reporter and an award-winning documentary filmmaker. He’s appeared as a guest on this program.

He was arrested in Tehran on June 21st. In the six weeks since then, he has had no access to a lawyer, and he has not been able to see his family.

And over the weekend, Maziar “confessed,” saying Western media helped cause the chaos after Ahmadinejad’s disputed election.

It is a lie. Maziar obviously knows it’s a lie. And the Iranian government knows it’s a lie.

After all, it’s a lie that they — those in power in Iran — forced him to speak. And that is what a show trial is all about.

It is a phrase usually connected with Joseph Stalin, the ruthless Soviet dictator. In the late 1930s, Stalin tried 50-odd men in mass trials for crimes against the state.

Sound familiar?

In fact, the similarities between the Soviet trials of 70 years ago and the Iranian trials of today is striking. Large rooms filled with row upon row upon row of men. At the front, full rows of the accused, many looking weary, downtrodden. Many of those in the front, former key government officials who helped build the revolutionary regime, only now to see it put them on trial.

And when their time comes to take the stand, they confess, saying whatever the regime wants them to, hoping that it means they will be treated less harshly, hoping that one day they might be able to be free, hoping to see their families again.

In the Soviet case, those hopes were never realized.

The Iranian government still has time to change, or else it will be remembered in history solely for its horrific use of totalitarian tactics, an example of modern-day Stalinism.

It should release Bahari and all its other political prisoners immediately.

As far as Fr Weslin – I haven’t looked yet but the stuff has got to be a couple of months old. Don’t know what’s happened in the interim as far as his trial – though I’ll take a quick look. I thought the anti-abortion movement was a lot more organized but there wasn’t anyone focusing on Notre Dame and the info was hard to track down. I couldn’t get at the court documents and Weslin’s lawyer doesn’t even have an email address. I honestly can’t believe that Fr Jenkins wasn’t dropping the charges. There’s a Catholic blog network or a Catholic News aggregate or something but nothing focused and you can imagine why the local ND papers and NDU have no interest in covering it

As far as Peterson – Justice Cafe loads relevant legal documents to Scribd so I can get those. If you’re not aware, there are Drew Peterson/Stacy Peterson/Kathleen Savio websites that concentrate on just that. Justice Cafe has to have a website.

Approximately noon EST a tourist helicopter (Eurocopter AS350) and a single-engine Piper PA-32, which had just taken off from Teterboro Airport (Teaneck, NJ) en route to Ocean City, NJ, collided in mid-air over the Hudson River between Lower Manhattan and Hoboken.

At this point it’s felt both were traveling southbound and at impact the airplane wing sheared off…plane corkscrewed to the ground…helicopter rotors stripped off…helicopter went straight down…nothing remained floating.

Hope Flight 1549 Air Traffic controller Patrick Harten wasn’t on duty.

The helicopter belonged to Liberty Helicopter Sightseeing Tours, flying out of the West 30th Street heliport and is felt to have contained six souls – the airplane three.

Initial reports said there was one survivor. Not true.

Silvia Ripamonte (wife and mother of Norellis) had decided to shop rather than go on the helicopter. It was to be a 12-minute tour.

They were in NYC to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary – reportedly a gift from Giacomo Norelli’s sister and were part of a group of 12 10 tourists from Bologna, Italy.

Jeremy Clarke had been working at Liberty for about 18 months and had 2700 helicopter flight hours.

Clarke not involved in any of the previous non fatal 8 accidents/1 incidence involving Liberty.

ATC lost contact with plane at 11:53 when it was at an altitude of about 1,100 feet.

The Piper did not and was not required to file a flight plan.

Neither aircraft required to have cockpit voice and flight data recorders.

Will be able to use radio communication from the corridor and the electronic navigational devices from the aircraft.

There has to be some surveillance video like last time as well.

Airplane wreckage felt to be located and attempts will be made to remove it today.

For those actually interested in knowing who the "real" Hillary Clinton is read on. It is a long post and yet documents only a fraction of  her singular accomplishments and how she has been treated despite - and because - of them. I apologize for the areas that are rantish.]

Instead of laughing you might want to consider what Secretary Clinton is actually doing. She is not “jealous” because of her husband’s “shadow looming over her” and she is not exhibiting “purple rage” because she was wearing a lilac-colored pantsuit. She is in Africa on a very serious mission and the first question she got in Kenya was about Mr Bill. And it hasn’t stopped. And the media has done nothing to discourage it. She doesn’t want to discuss a humanitarian mission that had nothing to do with “barry’s” foreign policy.

You know the One who rides around in Air Force 1 that has already cost your great-grandchildren millions of dollars (approx $1500/minute) – the One who walks into townhalls where no one asks him anything or holds him accountable – the One who is off to sightsee with his family in Yellowstone and Grand Canyon then on to Martha’s Vineyard for a “vacation”.

And his Secretary of State, who is actually doing something, gets trashed because she’s traveling in a war zone and thinking about the young girls and women who have been gang-raped day after day and what she can say to make it better. The last thing she wants to talk about is her hero for a day husband, who’s partying in Vegas celebrating his birthday.

Do you think her “shrillness” would disappear if she was sightseeing and vacationing in Martha’s Vineyard?

Secy Clinton has logged almost 100,000 miles doing barry’s bidding, while The Leader of the Free World genuflected like a servant to a beast that sanctions the mistreatment of women and girls.

Secy Clinton is not traveling to the Arab world and apologizing, while declaring that “we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation” and that we are in fact “one of the largest Muslim country in the world”.

Secretary Clinton is not going to the Caribbean and laughing about a 50 minute anti-American tirade and being filmed, smiling with a Communist tyrant, who called her a “poor ignoramus who should read and study a little to understand reality” and called President Bush the devil.

And First Lady Hillary Clinton most definitely did not wear a short-sleeved sweater to greet the Queen or rub her back back like a peasant (Queen’s how dare you look 0:35) and then shove Prince Philip out of the way during a photo op or send out an official White House photo with just the profile of the Prime Minster of England’s wife’s face or give out thoughtless plastic toys to his children – not to mention the available in airport gift shops everywhere Blockbuster DVDs that do not work in the UK. This after barry was too tired to give PM Brown a proper welcome and returned Winston Churchill’s bust, which was given to President Bush as a concrete gesture of solidarity after 9-11. But barry’s aides assured our once allies that the “Queen won’t be getting any DVDs”. And, by golly, she didn’t. She got an iPod filled with barry’s speeches.

The President of the United States is not even qualified to do Secy Clinton’s job. If she were President (and if she were a man she would be), she would have had a hard time finding him a spot in the Cabinet, especially since he paid his taxes. And what exactly had he done prior to his tour of the cosmos when he refused to go visit injured and maimed American servicemembers because there would be no photo op?

He spent 33 days overseas, precisely one evening in Europe, toured his “homeland” on the taxpayer’s dollar (the most money spent by a freshman senator) and refused to go to Pakistan and Afghanistan (you know the reason for him speaking out in that without consequences speech) and instead met with the owner of Al-Jazeera and Palestinian students and businessmen.

And then Sen Clinton?

Had been to two more continents and approximately 60 more countries than him, having met with both Heads of State and oppressed women and children. She was already familiar with the customs and protocol in over 80 countries, not only as a powerful politician, but, more importantly, as a woman.

And the President of the United States on his maiden voyage?

Made gaffe after gaffe and refused to call on non-American press and when a Chinese journalist called him on it, he called them “foreigners“, made them jump up and down like first graders needing to go potty while he selected a sufficiently “foreign looking”one – he didn’t want to be accused of sexism -  and then proceeded to ridicule her for having pride in her Prime Minister.

Mind you, this was not in the Congo, and it wasn’t a college student’s question lost in translation. It was an English speaking Indian reporter, whom he completely embarrassed in front of her entire nation with the entire world press in attendance at the G 20 summit in England.

How many folks have seen that footage?

And what is the present day First Lady doing?

Planting a garden, having clearly never used a spade shovel, in a thousand dollar outfit, in soil contaminated with lead, vacationing in Paris on your grandchildren’s Secret Service dime, and allowing herself to be intentionally kept out Muslim countries.

Why?

Because barry doesn’t want to offend the Arab World as in “we are not at war with Islam” who live by Sharia law. You know the “Holy Law” of Islam that sanctions genital mutilation and “marriages” of girls Malia and Sasha’s age.

Female genital mutilation: “Circumcision is obligatory…for both men and women.” (‘Umdat al-Salik e4.3)

The law that sanctions the starving (refuses husband’s sexual “needs”), slapping (paying too much for the shrouds they have to wear), disfiguring with acid (women wanting a divorce from the man they were sold to or little girls wanting to be educated), poisoning, “marital rape” and “honor” killing of their wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, nieces and cousins via stabbing, beheading, beating with a chain, burying them alive or just stoning them to death in the middle of the street as men capture it on cellphone video.

Honor killing: “Retaliation is obligatory against anyone who kills a human being purely intentionally and without right.” However, “not subject to retaliation” is “a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring.” (‘Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2.)

In other words, someone who kills his child incurs no legal penalty under Islamic law.

And this “Holy law” allows a cousin to rape his female cousin with impunity and then allows her brother to stab her to death because he is embarrassed by the “dishonor” she brought on the family.

Yes, the “most modern First Lady” and “paragon of American motherhood” and “fashion trendsetter” is willingly allowing herself to be kept out of those countries where her husband, whose middle name is suddenly in vogue and no longer racist, is being hailed as the First Muslim President! of the United States!

The woman who has “made military families her priority” is photo op feeding the homeless in $540 designer sneakers as those selfless families – some barely surviving – lose their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters in Afghanistan and Iraq while fighting to free those women from that law. And the First Lady, who is a “stunning example of powerful women” is refusing to go and speak on their behalf because she prefers to be subjugated to her husband.

Sharia law, American style.

And the First Lady’s rhetoric was very different on the campaign trail when she said “for the first time in my adult lifetime I am really proud of my country,” later adding that she traveled with her husband in part “to model what it means to have family values,” and that “if you can’t run your own house, you can’t run the White House.” But she had no problem after the nomination asking the former First Lady for advice (which was freely given) and then gushed on Larry King how wonderful Hillary was being!!!

Mrs Obama:

She’s phenomenal…she’s always been cordial and open….She’s been giving me advice about my kids.

She’s been amazing.

She’s a real pro and a woman of character.

And the “Hillary” who was intent on “sabotaging” barry ?

She’s been campaigning, she’s been raising money, she’s been working on her donors. She’s been in swing states.

And how was Sen Clinton rewarded?

Mrs Obama’s husband forgot to tell his donors to donate, then told them they didn’t have to donate, then told her donors he was only interested in their Rolodex and then let his opponent, who received the same amount of votes, who campaigned for him before he was coronated and whose voters won him the presidency, enter office owing $6M after taking a personal loss of $13M.

And the other half of the racist Clintons barry was too busy to call?

Mrs Obama:

[Hillary] and Bill Clinton have been working hard to make sure Barack is the next president of the United States.

And why were there plenty of polls and interviews of racist white folks who wouldn’t vote for a black president – who actually has as much European DNA as he has African – and no polls and/or interviews with black folks who would never vote for a woman? And those Appalachian hillbillies and bitter bowling alley babes busy a’quotin’ their Bibles and a’totin’ their guns who think barry’s a Muslim? Were they ever asked if they thought Secy Clinton was a Muslim?

And what church does barry belong to now that he’s pandering to the Arab world and the Bible Belt swing states?

Is he even going to services anywhere now that he doesn’t need to prove he’s a Christian?

Hillary Clinton:

I believe in a zone of privacy.

Unfortunately, no one else does. And yet she perseveres despite it.

Despite two decades of misogynistic attacks by the gyne envy, castration anxiety-filled men and the catty women who mysteriously think their porcine coworkers don’t feel that way about all vaginas, including theirs.

Despite the constant onslaught of baseless assaults during the campaign by the infatuated media who have been completely corrupted in their attempts to elect and keep in office a man whose past they have never attempted to discover and have gone out of their way to cover up.

And who is getting the last laugh?

Hillary Clinton:

In the Bible it says they asked Jesus how many times you should forgive, and he said 70 times 7. Well, I want you all to know that I’m keeping a chart.

What isn’t known about Secy Clinton?

What are the chances she would have been inaugurated without her birth, school and medical records known?

And what are the chances one lawsuit – let alone a year’s worth – would have flown under the radar?

And then there’s the sexist enigma that is Hillary Clinton: She is not qualified to do anything when she is running against barry and yet she is “more than qualified” and “the right person for the job” and someone “who has a comprehensive grasp of the world” and someone who “does her homework” and is “well-prepared” when he needs help.

And when she retired from the Senate, she suddenly became “a great colleague” who is “going to be sorely missed” and morphed retrospectively into someone “fun to be around” who has a”great sense of humor” and had a “very bright future in the Senate”.

So where were all these spineless colleagues defending her when everyday pundits were railing at her to just quit already, as she won primary after primary?

When Glenn Beck was calling her an “insane socialist” and “It” as in “It cried”?

When Pete Snyder said it was “time to take her behind the barn”?

When Alex Castellanos, who thinks listening to barry give a speech is like sex, said it was “time to take the family dog to the vet“  and that “Hillary” should be called a bitch because she is a bitch.

What do you think he’s doing with the family dog bitch?

Where were those fine upstanding colleagues when Tucker Carlson characterized their fellow senator as a trapped animal in feral mode and a drunk party guest who wouldn’t go home?

When pinkie finger Lee Rodgers called her Hildebeest?

And where exactly were their words of outrage when terrified of powerful women Bill Maher was conjecturing how much they could get for Hillary’s cunt?

Where were those fine upstanding colleagues then?

Where were they when Ted Kennedy was saying she wasn’t noble enough?

When good old sexist Pat Leahy was whining on public radio that “she ought to withdraw”?

When the future President of the United States was too much of a eunuch to shake her hand and then stood by while giggly, glassy-eyed Sen McCaskill covered for him?

And after Hillary Clinton was nominated as Secretary of State, the pundits who had trashed her just months earlier were saying:

When Hillary Clinton arrives representing the United States, that is going to send a very powerful signal, because people around the world know who she is, knows she’s powerful.

She clearly knows her stuff.

And the ever lovely Michelle Bernard:

We’re not looking at Senator Clinton today as a woman. We’re not talking about her jewelry or how she is dressed or anything like that. Where talking about the power that emanates with this woman. I think she is doing an excellent job. I think she is going to make a very effective Secretary of State. I think we’re going to see a very, very different Department of State – very strong, very powerful.

Gee whiz, such a stunning enlightenment from a woman who said “Hillary” would have won the nomination if she hadn’t voted for the war. Same as Carlos Watson.

When exactly did barry have a vote?

He didn’t.

That purported “superior judgment” speech was heard by maybe 1000 people and was not even mentioned in the Chicago papers the next day. He was not the featured speaker – Jesse Jackson was – and it was most definitely not given in the “midst of a heated senate race”. He flat out lied. The speech was given in October 2002 and he announced his intention to run for the senate January 2003.

And when there were consequences to his politically expedient words?

He took his 2002 speech off his website when he was running for Senate. He said he didn’t know how he would have voted. He did not speak out against John Kerry and John Edwards during his 2004 keynote address at the Democratic Convention. And when he got to the Senate, he said nothing about Iraq for over a year and voted the same as then Sen Clinton.

And yet folks believed every word about how he “got it right from the beginning”. And folks said, and are still saying, that the only reason he got the nomination and Secy Clinton didn’t was because of his “judgment” on Iraq.

So where was the outrage in February when he went back on his campaign promise to bring the troops home – proving once and for all that his Iraq story was in fact a fairy tale and that racist Mr Bill was right?

There was none.

His entire campaign was a lie – proven to be a lie by his own actions – and nothing was said.

And yet everything Secy Clinton does is scrutinized to the nth degree, as this video has proven.

And after Secy Clinton had proven herself to be as skilled as ever, Axelrod the Creepy admitted that she had the same knowledge and skills when she was running against barry:

[Madame Secretary Clinton] is smart, tenacious, well-prepared, HAD a great knowledge of the world and all of that is coming into play.

And she’s been a great, a great leading light in this administration.

Which is why the only good news in the latest Quinnipiac poll is “barry’s” handling of foreign policy.

Hillary Clinton:

I suppose I could have stayed home and baked cookies and had teas, but what I decided to do was to fulfill my profession which I entered before my husband was in public life.

I thought Chris Matthews said “Hillary” only got her Senate seat because her husband was messing around?

Secy Clinton wasn’t wasn’t qualified to be president because she was just having tea with ambassadors and yet she was given the job requiring the most comprehensive knowledge of foreign policy by the man who labeled her a chatting tea-sipper.

The former First Lady – the first First Lady elected to the United States Senate and the first woman elected statewide in New York - continues undaunted in her role as champion of oppressed women and children everywhere. And she made that perfectly clear during her confirmation hearings – when MSNBC refused to show the pictures of the women disfigured at the hands of Muslim beasts because they were deemed “too disturbing”.

Then Senator Clinton:

It is not complicated: They want to maintain an attitude that keeps women…unhealthy, unfed, uneducated. And this is something that results all too often in violence against these young women, both within their families and from the outside.

This is not culture.

This is not custom.

This is criminal.

And it will be my hope to persuade more governments, as I have attempted to do since I spoke at Beijing on these issues, thirteen and some years ago, that we cannot have a free, prosperous, peaceful, progressive world if women are treated in such a discriminatory and violent way.

Michelle Obama doesn’t just inspire us. She affirms us with her intelligence, authenticity, depth and compassion.

How is one of TIME Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” using her intelligence, authenticity, depth and compassion to inspire the oppressed women of the Arab World?

Enter: “Michelle Obama” into Google search and the top nine automatic fill-ins are: dress, pregnant, inaugural gown, fashion, inauguration gown, bio, height, ball gown, gown. Pregnant?

What exactly is she influencing other than fashion, while the former First Lady does her husband’s bidding in war zones and is trashed for looking  “slovenly”?

And what public service did she engage in prior to becoming First Lady, while the First Lady of Arkansas ran a legal aid clinic for the poor, handling cases of foster care and child abuse, and later founded Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families?

Mrs Obama:

Policies that support families aren’t political issues. They’re personal. They’re the causes I carry with me every single day.

Enter: “Name some of Michelle Obama’s charity work” on wikiAnswers and you get: “hi im billy”.

Which First Lady, at the age of 40, was paid $316,962 (having received a $195,092 raise two months after her husband became US Senator) to turn indigent women and children away from the ER so the hospital could make more of a profit?

And which First Lady, at age 30, was appointed by President Carter to the board of the United States Legal Services Corporation, a federal nonprofit program that funds legal assistance for the poor?

Which First Lady helped pass legislation to improve education for children and which First Lady photo op reads books to school children who can already read?

Which First Lady’s legal work led her to be named one of “The 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America” – not just once, but twice – and which First Lady’s law license was “court ordered inactive” after only four years?

Which First Lady was one of only twenty women in her Yale law school class and fought for Title IX and which First Lady benefited from her fight and received a scholarships because of it?

And New York Magazine’s post-Title IX Harvard-educated Amanda Fortini wrote: “Bitch and the Ditz: How the Year of the Woman reinforced the two most pernicious sexist stereotypes and actually set women back.”

Actually set women back?

Without Secy Clinton’s generation, Ms Fortini wouldn’t be in a position to write such crap.

What are the chances she will ever be enlightened to the reality that it is her job to move women forward and that this article isn’t the way to do it?

And then there’s Newsweek’s “Millennial” Sarah Kliff, who wrote: “Sorry, Hillary, Girls Already Rule“.

Might someone in touch with reality – a woman’s reality – clue Ms Kliff in that if that were true “Hillary” would be ruling?

Instead it’s this from her fellow Millennial:

Possibly Hillary can run as dog catcher in Elmore County, Alabama, we do have one planning to retire. She is clearly underqualified as of now, we do have some training available is she can get elected.

What kind of outrage would there be if that was written in reference to Mrs Obama?

What country has the present First Lady visited (or is planning on visiting) in a humanitarian role?

How much press did the wife of the President barry trashed every day, First Lady Laura Bush, get for directly helping and encouraging Afghan women to start their own businesses so they could become self-reliant and not have to be beaten and oppressed just to feed themselves and their children?

On her first trip abroad as First Lady, Mrs Obama visited a girls’ school in London to speak about the importance of education and the future role of women not once mentioning the role Secy Clinton’s generation played in making it possible for her to get an Ivy League education. Not once mentioning that without First Lady Hillary Clinton preceding her, she wouldn’t be standing there.

And the underqualifed potential dog catcher?

Stood up on her own accord thirteen years ago and lambasted China for their treatment of women, firmly declaring Women’s Rights are Human Rights, in a speech ranked #35 in the top 100 speeches of the 20th Century.

Mrs Obama, photo op passing out backpacks containing books, toys and healthy snacks:

Economic recovery is as much about what you’re doing in your communities as what we’re doing here in Washington – and it’s going to take all of us, working together.

And the children they were going to? Children of American servicemembers.

First Lady Hillary Clinton:

Our lives are a mixture of different roles. Most of us are doing the best we can to find whatever the right balance is…For me, that balance is family, work, and service.

Enter: Michelle Obama on the site “Look To The Stars: The World of Celebrity Giving” and under the heading: “Charities supported” you’ll see: “None known – if you know of one, please drop us an email.”

And who founded the American Voluntary Medical Team, which provides medical care in disaster and war zones and food and treatment to sick children in places like Micronesia, Vietnam, El Salvador, Iraq, Nicaragua, Zaire, India, Bangladesh and El Salvador and personally lead 55 missions, including walking through minefields, sleeping in huts, holding sick children (one of whom she adopted and another she arranged to be adopted) in a span of 7 years? And whose multimillionaire husband allowed her to be labeled a Stepford wife pill addict while declaring families were off limits?

Mrs Obama before “they” were elected:

[Cindy] addresses me politely…We have a very respectful relationship.

We’re going to need John McCain, we’re going to need Cindy McCain.

Where was Cindy McCain on the commemoration of September 11 and where was Mrs Obama, the odds on favorite future First Lady?

Was it: a) First day of school (8th); b) Campaign didn’t know it was just for the candidates; c) Wanted to be home all week (campaigned the 10th in Ohio); d) Traveled everywhere in the last 19 months and too tired; e) Didn’t have anything to wear; f) barry didn’t want her to upstage him or g) Never even crossed her mind; h) No longer proud of her country?

And while barry attack-added Sen McCain for not knowing how many houses his wife owned, his alleged half-brother in Africa was (still is) living in a slum and his cousins were (still are) surviving by herding goats.

Devoted brother on October 23, 2008, told Harry Smith — when asked why he was taking time off the campaign trail to visit his dying grandmother that he didn’t want to make the same mistake — that he had by not being at his mother’s bedside when she not unexpectedly died of cancer.

Devoted grandson:

Most people understand that if you are not caring for your family, then you are probably not the kind of person who is going to be caring for other people.

And his actions?

He went to Hawaii to visit his grandmother on her deathbed but did not stay for what he absolutely knew would be her last birthday. In fact, he spent only 22 hours there. He arrived on Thursday, left on Friday and his typical white woman’s grandmother’s birthday was Sunday. And when she passed on November 2, he didn’t mention it until late afternoon on the 3rd at the second stump of the day.

Did he uses his private jet to fly back and comfort his sister?

No, he left her alone to make arrangements for the woman who worked and fed and loved him after his black father abandoned him so he could he could be President of the United States. And the Hawaiian people celebrated Madelyn Dunham’s life – the people who were outraged about the “typical white person” comment – and he had a convenient photo op on December 23 when he went on vacation for the holidays.

And why did Secy Clinton have to go to Kenya?

Because Kenyans (and Nigerians and many other African countries) who claim him as “their president” were enraged that he went to Ghana – where he never mentioned that women are stolen out of cabs and raped in the street in broad daylight – instead of his “Keynyan homeland”.

Secy Clinton is in Africa mopping up after him because of his disgusting need for political expedience. His connection to Ghana is through his mother’s family who were slave owners. He has nothing to do with American slavery. He grew up in the most diverse state in the union, where whites “haoles” were discriminated against and interracial marriages were legal in 1961. But because his skin has a pigment similar to African slaves brought to America he can lie that his parents got together because of Selma and trash Rev Jesse Jackson who actually lived it?

So, go ahead and laugh at the water cooler or take a second to consider the reality of real issues of real people who are really suffering every minute of their life – real people who Secy Clinton looks into the eyes of.

Name one place where barry has gone where he has seen actual suffering?

Not concentration camps that no longer contain 60lb skeletons barely subsisting on half a potato a day. Secy Clinton is looking at swollen babies’ stomachs and 60lb skeletons of their mothers who are unable to care for them. Not Ghana to look at what took place in the past. Secy Clinton is looking into the eyes of forever ruined young girls who were sold as a toddlers to become sex slaves.

She does not even represent the typical American woman with her lack of grace and poise.

Hillary Clinton:

Women are always being tested…but ultimately, each of us has to define who we are individually and then do the very best job we can to grow into it.

So, go ahead and have your chuckle if it makes you feel better about the fact that three or four neighbors on your block have lost their job and homes in the last week while Secy Clinton is looking into the eyes of women and children who live on a dollar a month.

Go ahead and make your menopause jokes if it makes you feel better about the women and children who are suffering and dying needlessly when readily available anti-malarial pills and $1 mosquito nets would allow them to live a productive life and bring their nation out of disease and poverty.

Go ahead and laugh about her having a bad hair day and her need for a stylist when she is seeing the ravages of AIDS – the women and children raped because the men think having sex with a virgin will cure their HIV/AIDS, including one day-old newborns.

Go ahead and post disgusting picture of Secretary Clinton on your blogs, send mass emails with bloody tampons and other misogynistic drivel and bring back the unbelievably vicious comments made during the primaries if that makes you feel better about the state of the US economy and the massive debt barry has already accumulated while handing out billions and ignoring the million dollar bonuses given to executives because he provided no accountability for the money we paid and barry’s Cabinet did not.

But maybe, instead of laughing at a women, who for over two decades has been attacked at her very core as a woman and mother, you might realize that she risked her life to talk with gang raped women and children – actual flesh and blood – not pre-screened sycophants at townhalls.

Realize that she actually wants to know what she can do for the people of Congo where women and girls are being raped every day  – not be asked what her husband thinks.

Realize she is not being asked softball questions during prime time news conferences – she is looking into the eyes and touching the ruined bodies of women and girls who have been raped over and over in public with men cheering the savage beast on and then taking their turns – other women powerless to intervene because they know no one will come to their aid and they will only be next.

I’m angry just writing this. And if I had to look into those girls’ eyes I sure the hell wouldn’t want to be asked to channel my husband’s thoughts.

So, go ahead and laugh if you want to. Talk about what a bitch she is for becoming irritated when she is really thinking of the raped pre-teen girls she is going to have to comfort and explain why she can’t stop it.

Go ahead and joke about her “shrillness” if it makes you feel better about your own lives and helps you ignore the fact that 1 in 3 women in the US military are raped and that they are more likely to be raped by fellow Americans in Iraq than killed by enemy fire.

Hillary Clinton:

There cannot be true democracy unless women’s voices are heard.

There cannot be true democracy unless women are given the opportunity to take responsibility for their own lives.

There cannot be true democracy unless all citizens are able to participate fully in the lives of their country.

And Secy Clinton is attempting to do just that. She is trying to make a difference. Women of the world look to her as hope – as someone who cares enough to venture into a war zone via a UN plane because her own plane is not deemed safe – as in shot down.

Women of the world are the means to peace and prosperity – not their savage brothers, father and even sons who see fit to behead them, disfigure them and sell them to men three times their age. Men who see fit to mutilate innocent girl’s genitals – cutting them with dull knives or pieces of glass or rusty lids from a can of beans and then rubbing ash into the jagged flesh.

So, with that in mind, watch the video and chuckle away.

Perhaps you might want to hear the question as translated:

What does Mr. Clinton think through the mouth of Mrs. Clinton?

How would Mrs Obama have reacted if she ever ventured somewhere meaningful?

And most news outlets haven’t shown the end of the townhall where the student went over to Secretary Clinton and apologized for his mistake. He meant to say Mr Obama, which is a reasonable question, and one Secy Clinton would have had no problem answering.

And together they laughed.

No immediate word on how Mrs Clinton responded.

So why is this such a big ha-ha?

Because Secy Clinton’s approval index is 22 pts HIGHER than barry’s and barrymedia can’t stand it. Her disapproval rating is 15 and his is 31. And that’s with the media constantly scrutinizing her and covering for him.

And who is doing real work and who is surfing around for adoration at townhalls and telepromptering the same old words that do not correlate with action?

And what do you think the next poll will show after the media had their chuckles with this?

The barrymedia in their haste to destroy Secy Clinton don’t seem to grasp that when they do they are hurting their boy barry.

Sexism takes precedence over manlove, I guess.

Go ahead and gossip and believe this trash “opined” from unnamed “insiders” and “anonymous sources” that do not exist:

The Post gets some juicy quotes from “insiders.” One opines, “Today’s event should erase any doubt that Bill Clinton’s shadow looms large behind her. Her sensitivity about the question seems to indicate a sense of jealousness.” Another anonymous source says, “Sounds to me like these are issues better left worked out in therapy than through reporters.” And a third observer decides, “It’s either jet lag or jealousy. Either way, she needs some more rest.”

And while you’re laughing, Secretary Hillary Clinton will continue fighting so that women around the world are afforded basic human rights and given the opportunity to reach their God-given potential.

Hillary Clinton:

In too many instances, the march to globalization has also meant the marginalization of women and girls.

And that must change.

That’s change you can believe in.

And you best believe that this latest attack is not going to sway Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from accomplishing it.

Radio Rod has now become Karaoke Elvis.

At the Optimus (video production company) block party the “surprise” musical guest was Radio Rod. He rode up in a white stretch Hummer instead of his government issue black SUV.  And instead of bodyguards had his Fabulous friend “Fabio”, (who accompanied him to Second City for his appearance at “Rod Blagojevich Superstar!”) And the impeached gov got the same treatment as he did campaigning. Folks do love him – he just has to hope the jury does.

He mentioned he was “wrongfully hijacked from office” – crowd booed – and that he’s been a “day laborer” like his friend Fabio and that he was going to sing a song “You can’t vote against me anymore” and then launched into in his idol Elvis’: “Treat Me Nice,” including the signature Elvis collar, arm, kick and hip movements. When he finished he said that Mayor Daley was going to be up next as Mick Jagger singing “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction”.

Fee not disclosed ($10K) and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Gilda’s Club, a charity that supports cancer patients.
