Chicago Blackhawk Patrick Kane, 20, was arrested this morning in his home town of Buffalo, New York.
Allegedly, he and a relative, James Kane, 21, took a cab home from “Chippewa Street”. Must be Buffalo’s Rush Street or Lincoln Avenue. The fare was $13.80. They handed the cabbie $15 and then allegedly became enraged when the cabbie didn’t have 20¢ to return as change. So they grabbed their money back and in the process allegedly assaulted the cabbie. Cabbie alleged he was grabbed by the throat, hit about the face and head and had his glasses broken.
Evidence?
A torn fiver in the relative’s pocket.
Both were charged with idiocy, second-degree robbery (Class C felony) and two Class A misdemeanors: fourth-degree criminal mischief and theft of services.
No mention if drugs or alcohol were involved or the condition of the cabbie.
Topic: townhall meetings and whether the insurance industry is behind them as Gibbs said.
Guest: Media Matters “Senior Fellow” ERIC BOEHLERT: “Award winning journalist who writes about the media and politics”
It’s nice to see a face (white of course) and hear the voice of one of the people behind their attacks.
What is Media Matters doing on CNN?
Is CNN no longer promoting racist conspiracies?
Have they become the Most Trusted Name in News Propaganda again?
Media Matters has spent the last few weeks slamming Jon Klein and CNN for their “Lou Dobbs problem” aka his “relentless promotion of these conspiracy theories tinged with racism.” They went so far as to make an ad (which was supposed to run on CNN – I don’t know if it did) saying that because Lou Dobbs – WHO HAS ALWAYS SAID BARRY IS A CITIZEN - asked barry to produce his birth certificate, Dobbs was promoting racially charged paranoia.
There’s nothing racist about asking a man claiming transparency to produce evidence of his actual physical birthplace. One could argue barry is getting a pass because he is black. Every white president’s physical birthplace is known as well are the birthplaces of all of his white opponents.
So a Media Matters member is not only on CNN, he is discussing his own “conspiracy theories tinged with racism” and displaying his own “racially charged paranoia“.
Who are the delusional loonies?
BOEHLERT says he’s convinced (paranoid) somebody’s conspiring to incite havoc at townhalls and that the participants have a “deep-seated hatred for barry” (code for racists). Then he goes on to accuse the townhallers of “chasing congressmen to their cars” – when his pal Mike Stark at FireDogLake chased Congressmen down the street, up the stairs, and, yes, to their cars. Look at the video.
I have to find out who owns Media Matters and how much money they have invested in barry. Their desperation is making them look as irrational as the birthers. Somebody over there knows what’s on that birth certificate and very soon they will be exposed and their entire organization discredited.
Well, I guess BOEHLERT already did that by appearing on CNN.
There are instances where you hear people sound like they’re reading from, in fact, the same script. And that’s what the White House is now saying, as well. But they’re even taking it to another step. They’re taking it a step forward. They’re accusing a specific conservative health-care executive of orchestrating these protests.
ROBERT GIBBS VIDEOTAPE:
I think what you’ve seen is they have — they have bragged about — about manufacturing to some degree that anger to — I think you’ve got somebody who’s very involved, a leader of that group, that’s very involved in the status quo, the CEO that used to run a health-care company that was fined by the federal government $1.7 billion for fraud. I think that’s a lot of what you need to know about the motives of that group.
Someone needs to tell GIBBS that the campaign is over and that whining highlights barry’s impotency. More proof that all they know how to do is campaign.
SANCHEZ:
That’s why we’ve invited that executive, Rick Scott to join us here. He’s going to be her in just a moment to try and defend himself.
Is this thing orchestrated?
BOEHLERT:
There’s no question.
I mean, there’s — there’s nothing wrong with activism.
There’s nothing wrong with rallying people for a point of view and having your views heard. But it’s ironic.
Here we have a town-hall forum and, basically, the entire premise is to shut down any conversation, shut down any debate; yell and heckle and scream and sort of chase congressmen to their cars.
That’s being orchestrated and it has really nothing to do with health care.
It’s tapping into, you know, sort of a radical minority which has a deep-seated hatred of Barack Obama.
A chuckle. Our Founding Fathers appear to have been our descendants:
SANCHEZ:
Isn’t this what our descendants did who founded this country in Boston?
BOEHLERT:
…insult congressmen…
…mini-mobs run the congressman out of town
Watch how FireDogLake insults the Congressmen and Congresswoman right to their face. And he’s a mini-mob of one. One of the Congressmen, who is literally being chased, says to Stark, who had been insulting him as in “Is this as fast as you can run?”, that he is the “Scum of the earth”. Worth watching.
SANCHEZ:
It goes further, because now the White House is involved in this. And Robert Gibbs is saying — he said it Tuesday — that this thing is being orchestrated by a big-buck health-care executive. And he didn’t name that executive, but he said enough about him that we were able to construe that he’s probably talking about our next guest, who’s coming on in just a little bit, which is Rick Scott. Is that what you heard him saying?
There’s Rick Scott’s picture, by the way
Seems BOEHLERT has a short memory from these next comments. Just think back to the primaries and the general election and who used money to buy their way to the presidency. His final comment says it all.
BOEHLERT:
The point is, he’s running, you know, these $1 million ad campaigns.
The last of the nine UK embassy employees (all Iranian citizens) to be released was put on trial yesterday in Iran. Hossein Rassam, 44, chief political analyst at the embassy (pictured below) was initially charged with “damaging the country’s national security”. He was the only one of the nine charged and was released on $100K bail. At that time British authorities were reassured that he would not be tried. In fact, Simon Gass, UK’s ambassador to Iran, attended Ahmadinejad’s inauguration ceremony on the 5th..
[Rassam] “confessed” in court that he had recruited a network of 50 agents on behalf of the embassy in the past year and attended pro-democracy demonstrations to gather information and foment unrest.
Did the protests look like a network of 50 agents had planned it? And of course the US has to be implicated.
According to the official IRNA news agency, Rassam confessed at the trial to handing over information about the protests to “Washington” and had apologised and asked for clemency. The semi-official Fars news agency said Rassam had admitted acting as liaison for senior British officials in the embassy, including Tom Burn, the second secretary, who was expelled, and had accompanied him to meetings with opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi. He had also confessed that the embassy had used “bursaries” and an English-language examinations scheme as a cover for contacts with members of the Iranian elites.
Of course the non Ahmadinejad parties denounced the mass trials but what have they done to stop them?
It’s one thing to denounce from outside Iran as a foreign government and another by fellow Iranian citizens.
David Milband, UK Foreign Secretary commented along the same line as Secy Clinton:
I am deeply concerned by the unjustified charges laid against Hossein Rassam in Tehran. Hossein is a member of our embassy staff going about his legitimate duties. Iranian action against him only brings further discredit on the Iranian regime.
Yes they afraid of their own people and the mass trials are discrediting the Iranian regime but the Arab world clearly doesn’t care. They are doing nothing to condemn the trials and are therefore all complicit – just as they were when Hamas was bombing Israel. They are all savages over there and clearly are not intent on affording their people freedom – least of all women and girls.
Also on “trial” was French language teacher, Clotilde Reiss who was arrested at the Tehran Airport on July 1 as she was trying to leave. She was charged with “spying and helping a Western plot to overthrow clerical rule” and had been Iran only 5 months.
I shouldn’t have participated in the illegal demonstration and shouldn’t have sent the pictures, I am regretful. I apologize to the Iranian people and court and I hope the people and the court forgive me.
She is pictured below on the right. It’s difficult to look at her face – she already looks like she’s been sentenced to death.
CNN
French embassy worker Nazak Afshar (middle) was also arrested and tried. Neither women were afforded a lawyer and France said they weren’t even notified of the trial.
After Clotilde Reiss’ appearance before a court in Tehran, France renews its demand for the immediate liberation of the young academic, since the accusations against her are baseless.
France also stands against the conditions of that [court] appearance. The embassy was not informed in advance nor permitted to attend the hearing, in accordance with international rules of consular protection. We regret that Ms. Clotilde Reiss and Ms. Afshar are not being assisted by a lawyer.
Human rights activist sent a letter signed by 380 people to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navanethem Pillay, detailing the abuses inflicted on prisoners:
This is a regime that in an organized manner arrests its opponents and critics and tortures them in solitary cells.
They demanded the abuse be labeled “crimes against humanity” and the matter referred to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands.
And what atrocities were inflicted on those who were tortured to death?
How many innocent protesters have already been summarily executed?
According to Title 28, Chapter I, Part 453 of the United States Code, each Supreme Court Justice takes the following oath:
I, [NAME], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as [TITLE] under the Constitution and laws of the United States. So help me God.
Put in “Barack Obama Wiki” and look what comes up.
There’s no proof he was born there. Or anywhere for that matter. No one knows the actual physical birthplace of barry – as in where his mother delivered him.
And Gibbs? “I don’t know the name of the exact hospital.”
The man speaking for the president does not know what hospital he was born in and no one find this unusual.
And throughout the bot protected – bot scrubbed entry, barry’s book is quoted about everything but his birth. Instead they quote a Washington Post article. And no one finds this unusual.
The Today Gloria Allred and child star advocate Paul Petersen (Donna Reed Show) discuss the court appointed guardian for Nadya Suleman’s children concerning the filming of her “documentary“. Petersen discusses the law he wrote concerning premature infants and Allred discusses the investigation into labor law violations the night the first two octuplets came home, for which Radaronline was sanctioned.
Last time I checked the judge had refused permits for filming by the Eyeworks the production company and filming was suspended.
Sen John Cornyn (R-TX) sent Big Brother Barry a letter about his asking folks to report their fellow citizens’ “fishiness” and casual conversation. At the end he gets a zinger in about barry’s own talk of healthcare that would have gotten him reported.
I write to express my concern about a new White House program to monitor American citizens’ speech opposing your health care policies, and to seek your assurances that this program is being carried out in a manner consistent with the First Amendment and America’s tradition of free speech and public discourse.
Yesterday, in an official White House release entitled “Facts are Stubborn Things,” the White House Director of New Media, Macon Phillips, asserted that there was “a lot of disinformation out there,” and encouraged citizens to report “fishy” speech opposing your health care policies to the White House. Phillips specifically targeted private, unpublished, even casual speech, writing that “rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.” Phillips wrote “If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flagATwhitehouse.gov.”
I am not aware of any precedent for a President asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White House for pure political speech that is deemed “fishy” or otherwise inimical to the White House’s political interests.
By requesting that citizens send “fishy” emails to the White House, it is inevitable that the names, email addresses, IP addresses, and private speech of U.S. citizens will be reported to the White House. You should not be surprised that these actions taken by your White House staff raise the specter of a data collection program. As Congress debates health care reform and other critical policy matters, citizen engagement must not be chilled by fear of government monitoring the exercise of free speech rights.
I can only imagine the level of justifiable outrage had your predecessor asked Americans to forward emails critical of his policies to the White House. I suspect that you would have been leading the charge in condemning such a program-and I would have been at your side denouncing such heavy-handed government action.
So I urge you to cease this program immediately. At the very least, I request that you detail to Congress and the public the protocols that your White House is following to purge the names, email addresses, IP addresses, and identities of citizens who are reported to have engaged in “fishy” speech. And I respectfully request an answer to the following:
How do you intend to use the names, email addresses, IP addresses, and identities of citizens who are reported to have engaged in “fishy” speech?
How do you intend to notify citizens who have been reported for “fishy” speech?
What action do you intend to take against citizens who have been reported for engaging in “fishy” speech?
Do your own past statements qualify as “disinformation”? For example, is it “disinformation” to note that in 2003 you said:”I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer universal health care plan”?
I look forward to your prompt response.
Sincerely,
JOHN CORNYN
United States Senator

He served previously as Texas Attorney General, Texas Supreme Court Justice, and Bexar County District Judge.
Chris Matthews, Cynthia Tucker, Ron Brownstein discussing the healthcare reform townhalls and whether it’s birthers, racism or a true objection to healthcare. Matthews thinks it’s a class, race and ignorance problem even though he hasn’t spoken to a single person. Neither has Ms Tucker or Mr Brownstein.
How is what they are saying not prejudice?
They are judging these folks on the basis of the color of their skin. They are not only racists – they’re ignorant.
And Matthews spent how many days waving a piece of paper that he couldn’t even read the name of?
And of course the folks are birthers.
I will say once again: NO ONE can name the actual physical location of barry’s birth — not even those 48 y/o newspaper notices that do not name a hospital, do not name barry and there is no evidence [unless something has come up recently that I am not aware of] that the Obama’s lived at that address – and therefore by definition one cannot say he was born in Hawaii. and until his actual physica birthplace is known it is a legitimate question. Besides the fact here is no legitimate reason for him to withhold it if it is legit.
CHRIS MATTHEWS:
When I look at the crowds, and when I look at the people I imagine are involved with the birther movement, I see a dichotomy in terms of class. I think some of these people who are in birther movement are less educated, more rural, more rustic and less informed about everything. And a little more scared.
CYNTHIA TUCKER:
There’s is absolutely no way toprovethat people have racist motives. There’s no way to tell what’s in people’s hearts and minds.
Or when you hear these teaparty protesters say ‘this is America, this is no longer the country I grew up in, this country is change’. That suggests to me that race is part of this.
Can I prove it? Absolutely not.
Do I believe it? Absolutely.
Do I think that’s all it is? No.
I want to be very careful about that – I want to be precise about my language.
Some people are just upset about healthcare reform. They’re well-informed about the fact they don’t like.
Mixed motives…Some don’t like the looks of Barack Obama.

MATTHEWS:
Anyone of these rallies…put all of these 100 people in a room, strap them into a guerneys, inject them with Sodium Pentothal: A) How many of them would say ‘I don’t like the idea of a black president’?
What percentage?
CYNTHIA TUCKER:
Oh, I’m just guessing. This is off the cuff.
I think that 45-65% of these people who appear at these groups, are people who will never be comfortable with the idea of a black president.
RON BROWNSTEIN:
I would no go that high. I would not go that high.
MATTHEWS:
How many would say that I would really like the idea of Sarah Palin being President of the United States?

Secretary Clinton in Kenya having a little fun. Talk about her hairdo, a sip of spirits, a little dancing and then a reminding of the dowry offer of 60 animals (40 goats and 20 cows) for Chelsea’s hand in marriage. A Kenyan man had made the offer 8 years ago and is still waiting for an answer. He had written President Clinton because he thought Chelsea looked “very well brought up”. He still looked smitten although he is married and has children.
Polygamy is a tradition in Kenya and is fully legal. barry Sr had at least 3 wives (was married to one when he impregnated barry’s mother) and his father had at least 3 also. barry’s alleged ancestral tribe, the Luo, are most famous for their polygamy. Grand glutton Mzee Ancentus Akuku, aka “Danger” married 130 wives, divorced 85 and sired 110 sons and 305 daughters. In 2008, he was still alive at the age of 90 – his last marriage having taken place at age 79 to an 18 y/o and resulted in 3 children. And of this he is very proud.

Herr Olbermann refers to “birthers” Joseph Farah and Orly Taitz as “White Supremacist Crowd”. Perhaps someone should inform him that Orly Taitz is Jewish. And DL Hughley has no problem saying the RNC Convention looked like Nazi Germany. Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow said the birthers were responsible for the Nazi who killed the guard at the Holocaust Memorial Museum and Joe Conason compared them to the Oklahoma Bombing.

Bill Maher, bigot:
And these are the idiots we want to weigh in on the minutia of health care policy?
Bill Maher sexist:
Please, this country is like a college chick after two Long Island Iced Teas: we can be talked into anything, like wars, and we can be talked out of anything, like health care.
He claims intelligence?
Then why is his commentary aka “humor” based on sexist and personal attacks and laced with frat house profanity?
A laugh from Secretary Clinton when CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, who was with her in Kenya, asks about former Bush Administration Ambassador to the UN John Bolton’s comments re: President Clinton going to North Korea to bring home Laura Ling and Euna Lee. She stressed it was not an official visit and does not change the administration’s position on Iran.
Bolton said:
Clinton trip is a significant propaganda victory for North Korea, whether or not he carried an official message from President Obama.
Despite decades of bipartisan U.S. rhetoric about not negotiating with terrorists for the release of hostages, it seems that the Obama administration not only chose to negotiate, but to send a former president to do so.
CLINTON: It was not in any way and official government visit.
ZAKARIA: But John Bolton–
Clinton laughs.
ZAKARIA: Should I even go on?
CLINTON: No, you really shouldn’t.
ZAKARIA: He said this is rewarding hostage-taking.
CLINTON: We’ve done this so many times before. We’ve had former presidents do it. We’ve had sitting members of Congress do it. It is something that, you know, it is absolutely not rewarding them. It is not in any way responding to specific demands. It is a recognition that certain countries that I think are kind of beyond the pale of the rule of law hold people and subject them to long prison terms that are absolutely unfair and unwarranted. And maybe it’s, you know, the fact I have a daughter, but I believed that if we could bring these young women home, we should bring them home. It had nothing to do with our policy.
You know, you mentioned somebody, who, heavens, if President Obama walked on water, he would say he couldn’t swim.
It’s not something relevant to what we’re trying to do.
Interesting joke. What would Freud say about the “walking on water” reference.
Secretary Clinton’s approval index is 22 points higher than barry’s. And the only good news for him in the Quinnipiac poll is his handling of foreign policy.
I think we should make these guys write these books in public – in some Starbucks somewhere so we can actually watch them write it instead of ghost writing them. I think Obama is the only politician in modern history to actually write their own books.
I was looking around in the drafts and found some Octuplet posts for you. The woman playing Octomom in the musical looks alot like her. When Nadya first heard about the musical she pretended to be outraged when she was clearly delighted. Then she thought it would be a octotrademark infringement.
