Not all big babies grow in Indonesia.
In Jilin, Northeast China of all places this baby eats and eats and eats….because his mother nurses him 20 times a day. Imagine the mechanics of breast feeding. He must sit somewhere and she adjusts to his position. Because he is so obese, he cannot crawl or stand.
As opposed to 19lb 2oz jumbo Akbar in Indonesia – this baby was born with a normal birth weight: 7lbs 4oz. At one month he began to put on weight…unclear if it was because of the mother’s massive nursing or because he has a hormonal imbalance. There are several conditions that cause obesity in young children as early as this baby’s. And because he was normal weight at birth, odds are mom wasn’t diabetic.
I have a feeling jumbo Akbar might exceed 41lbs at 8 months. Perhaps if they can wean him down from feedings his weight can stay steady and eventually normalize.

At first it look like had no fingers on the right hand. Curious there are so many fat rings on the right are and not the left.
