Ms Goldberg, what is “rape rape”?
Roman Polanski, 76, was arrested by Swiss officials when he arrived in Zurich to receive a lifetime achievement award. (His wife Sharon Tate was murdered by the “Manson family” when she was 8 months pregnant.) He had an outstanding arrest warrant from 1978 for giving drugs and alcohol and then raping a 13-year-old girl he (44) said was “experienced” and consented. He’s been hiding out in France. One wonders if the “outraged” Zurich Film Festival officials were in on it. The girl now woman had asked the case be dropped earlier this year because of the intrusion by the press every time something happens with him. Did they ask her or even notify her before they arrested him?

Hello Mr Lord.
Quite frankly, I am disgusted with the ignorance of your words.
He didn’t “have sex with her”.
He forced himself on her and raped her.
“Having sex” implies consent.
The age of consent in California is 18.
He was 44 she was 13.
He was charged with unlawful sex with a minor.
Unlawful sex with a minor = statutory rape.
Statutory rape = rape.
He was charged with rape.
He admitted to raping her and giving her drugs to facilitate it.
What planet are you from where you think a 44 y/o man can “have sex” with a 13 y/o?
And how in the hell was “he still was made responsible for this…”?
He has not been held responsible for any of it. He fled like the cowardly rapist he is.
And even if he were made responsible for “this” – he cannot undo what he did to her when he raped her.
And because he has not been held responsible for raping a 13 y/o girl – that girl now woman is the one who suffers each time this is brought back up.
He is hurting her all over again because he is such a coward.
What mother wants her teenage sons to know what happened to her – especially what he did to her?
That’s why she sought to dismiss the case against him – so all the disgusting details aren’t brought back up and so the media will leave her alone.
