Leterman apologizes to staff, wife, Sarah Palin
Go ahead and sue me. All the disgusting jokes he makes about women being whores all the while he’s having sex with his employees. That specific thought is disgusting in all ways. Follow the link above and listen to his jokes all over again – especially about Sarah Palin’s daughters and recall that during that time – perhaps hours before – he was having sex with women he has authority over, all of whom are not his wife, or the mother of his child.
Guess it explains the sudden wedding after 23 years and a child.
Evidently he owns his own company and having sex with his employees is not against the rules. The rules of hypocrisy? Marriage? Human decency?
It’s time for him to retire. He really is just a dirty old man who is nasty and has no jokes unless their sexual in nature. My opinion.
How many jokes will Leno make?
Here’s his “confession”. Why the audience thinks it’s funny is beyond me. He only told because he had already gone before the grand jury.
Keep in mind that this is how his mother found out – just like every other viewer.

I’m glad you folks are here tonight, and I’m glad you folks are in such a pleasant mood, because I have a story I’d like to tell you and the home viewers, as well.
He explains how he found the package in his car.
I don’t usually receive packages at 6 in the morning in the backseat of my car.
So I get to looking through it and there’s a letters in the package and it says, ‘I know that you do some terrible, terrible things, and I can prove that you do those terrible things.’ And sure enough, contained in the package was stuff to prove that I do terrible things.
Audience thinks it’s hysterical.
…At 6 in the morning all you can do is think about every terrible thing you’ve done in your life.
So I go through it and study it and what this is, is a guy is going to write a screenplay about me. That’s good news for anyone isn’t it?
Audience laughing.
And he’s going to take all the terrible stuff that he knows about my life, and he seems to, in this package — there seems to be quite a lot of terrible stuff he knows about — and he’s going to put it in a movie unless I give him some money.
Laughter.
And I’m like you…That’s a little hinky. So I just want to reiterate how terrifying this moment is.
He said he wondered if the guy was around the car somewhere. Then he says he’s “motivated by nothing but guilt”. He calls his lawyer who meets with the guy and it’s clear it’s not a joke.
Yes in fact he wants a large sum of money or he’s going to produce this scrrenplay of all the terrible, embarrassing things I do. [present tense] Embarrassing, terrible things.
Laughter.
What possible fetishes do you think he has to make things so embarrassing and terrible? What has he done, in what ways, in how many different ways, how many times and to how many different women, together or separately? The way he says it over and over means it’s not just going to be “sex with women who work for me.” As does the fact that having sex with his employees was “not against the rules”.
So he and his lawyers call the DA’s office.
‘Can we run a couple of things by you guys? So we took the stuff down there and they said, ‘Whoa, hello, this is blackmail’.
So his lawyer had another meeting – tipping off the guy allegedly that it was a crime – the guy said he was going to write a book.
It’s all coming up roses for me because this guy knows creepy stuff about me.
Don’t want to think about what he means by creepy. Any 14 year-olds work there?
So they set up a third meeting and gave the guy a phony check for $2M. Who writes checks for $2M? He signed a $30M contract right before the Palin jokes.
Audience is still laughing.
This morning, I did something I’ve never done in my life. It was a combination of unusual and scary. This whole thing has been quite scary. I had to go downtown to testify before a grand jury. I had to tell them how I was disturbed by this. I was worried for myself. I was worried for my family. I felt menaced.
And I had to tell them all the creepy things I have done.
Laughter.
Now, why is that funny?
Laughter, applause.
He described how a warrant was issued and the guy was arrested before he taped his show. Finally at (7:24) he begins his actual confession after drinking out of his cup.
Now, of course, we get to what was it – [laughter] what was all the creepy stuff that he was going to put in the screen play and the movie. And the creepy stuff is — I have had sex with women who work for me on this show.
Silence and a few ohhs.
Now my response to that is yes, I have.

Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would. Perhaps it would – especially for the women.

But that’s a decision for them to make…if they want to come public and talk about the relationships. If I want to go public and talk about the relationships. But what you don’t want is a guy saying, ‘I know you had sex with women so I would like $2M or I’m going to make trouble for you’.
So, that’s where we stand right now.
I wonder if the NY media is going to go easy on him and not leak things like they otherwise woud. He thanks DA’s office.
It’s been a very bizarre experience. I feel like I need to protect these people, I need to certainly protect my family. I need to protect myself — hope to protect my job [thought it wasn't against the rules?] and friends and everybody who’s been supportive through this. And I don’t plan on saying much more on this particular topic. Thank you for letting me bend your ear.

And this is how his mother, Dorothy Mengering, found out what he was doing. She only knew someone was blackmailing him and was arrested.
I knew he was being blackmailed and that someone was arrested today. So far, that’s all I know.I have not talked to him. I heard it from Regina. I’m looking forward to seeing the show to see what he has to say. I really just found out today.
