French manufacturer: 10 million H1N1 vaccines/week

Reuters checks out Sanofi Pasteur’s vaccine manufacturing plant. Their H1N1 vaccines are ready to go out and it seems they have plenty – so why is the US having problems if there are 5 different manufacturers?

Overall capacity to produce 170 million vaccines year.

That plant can produce 10 million vaccines per week.

And they promise 90% efficacy (children and adults) with one dose.

So why the delay in the US?
