Tuesday, the Swiss Court denied Polanski’s bail for the second time. He has 10 days to appeal.
Thursday, the US Embassy in Berne, Switzerland submitted a formal extradition request to Switzerland’s Federal Office of Justice The request will be forwarded to Zurich, where Polanski is being held (unclear if he’s back in jail or still in the hospital), for an extradition hearing. If extradition is granted Polanski can appeal to the Federal Criminal Court.
