It seems the crashers had a contact at the Pentagon. The Washington Post put together the Salahis – their lawyer Paul W Gardner and his friend, career military Michele S Jones, special assistant to the Secretary of Defense, who serves as the Pentagon’s WH liaison. Evidently emails were exchanged but Jones denies telling them to come. Salahis’ spokeswoman is a Mahogany Jones – common name – don’t know if they’re related.
I did not state at any time, or imply that I had tickets for ANY portion of the evening’s events. I specifically stated that they did not have tickets and in fact that I did not have the authority to authorize attendance, admittance or access to any part of the evening’s activities. Even though I informed them of this, they still decided to come.

There was e-mail correspondence confirming they were legitimately supposed to be there. They understood they were invited.
Bottom line: Had Michelle Obama’s social secretary, DESIREE ROGERS been on duty – like she should have been – the crashers would not have had a chance to get past that first checkpoint. The Secret Service is not responsible for the list. The hostess is responsible for her guests – even at the WH. Seems Michelle can’t admit fault any more than barry.
*11-30 Washington Post called Ms Jones at the Pentagon yesterday for a comment. They also provide some background on Ms Jones and her military career – she spoke at the Democratic Convention.

I am not going to say anything at this point at all. Oh, my goodness. I am not going to say anything at this point at all. In fact, I am going to terminate the call right now because I am not sure what in the world is going on here.
