This is getting so bizarre, I’m wondering when Barney Fife is going to pop out and say Gotcha!
Attorney Paul W Gardner seems to be the nexus joining the crashers and the Jones but I’ve been unable to find a direct link from Michele S Jones to Desiree Rogers. There may, however, be a direct link from the wife crasher to Rogers.
Gibbs said the crashers “had been told on a number of occasions that they didn’t have tickets for that dinner” – the question is if he knew that before or after they crashed. Rogers’ is clearly at fault because she eliminated the position of the anti-gate crasher social staff person because “it wouldn’t look right”. But folks are reluctant to bring this up. Newsweek of all people broke the story.
So the crashers’ lawyer is Paul W Gardner.

And yet Ms Jones’ gave this statement to EXTRA. I have to assume that it was posted as it was delivered by Ms Jones – though I can’t verify it since I haven’t seen any other copy. It just seems at odds with her education. [Emphasis/underlining added]
The Salahis are not ‘shopping’ any interviews or demanding money from any media networks to tell their story. We repute these false allegations and demand that this adverse, in accurate information cease immediately. Again, I don’t know if that is how it was sent, but even grammar and spelling aside – does it sound like a press statement of someone who does this for a living? Or from an agency that represents a high powered firm that touts: “Excellent research, writing, and executive presentation skills.”?
The crashers admitted they were invited to the Congressional Black Caucus in September (which they deny crashing or being thrown out of), as guests of the Paul Gardner law firm, so they had to have had an established relationship – however informal. Perhaps Mr Gardner’s firm represented the crashers in one or more of their many reported lawsuits or maybe they’re connected through polo.
No idea.
And then there’s Michele S Jones at the Pentagon, who also has an impressive background – the first female Command Sergeant Major of the Army – who secured a high-ranking job at the Pentagon as Robert Gates’ liaison to the WH. She also spoke at the Democratic Convention. Here’s the press release from July 2009 announcing her hire:
Michele S. Jones has been appointed to the senior executive service and will be assigned as special assistant to the secretary of defense for White House liaison, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Washington, D.C. Jones previously served with The Bones Theory Group, LLC, Jacksonville, Fla.

So what is the connection?
Why would she be emailing the crashers?
Wife crasher wrote on her Facebook page that her father is buried at Arlington and that he was a “ghost” Army hero….is there an Army connection?
And is there a connection of some sort through the very common name of Jones?
No idea.
Washington Post connected Michele Jones to Paul Gardner as friends on Facebook – but what’s the relationship between Michele Jones and Desiree Rogers?
Update: I thought it ended there until data hound stopped by and brought up the Bones Theory Group and whether it was legit. C’mon – Jones works at the Pentagon and is retired military, right? It has to be legit, and if it isn’t, then there’s a whole lot more problems than the crashers.
So I went back to google and found this from RAW STORY.
The relationship between Michele Jones and Paul Gardner seems to have been a professional one, solidifying their connection.
Raw Story reports that the:
“Bones Theory Group” was incorporated in Baltimore, Maryland on Mar. 16, 2009 under the name “PAUL W. GARDNER, II, ESQ”.
It’s still around but evidently has no affiliation to Michele S Jones.
It does, however, list the corporate address as 10 Calvert St., Baltimore, Maryland — the exact same address as Gardner’s law firm. The records show that the company was registered just months before Jones was appointed as a special assistant to Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
So, Mr Gardner seems to be the common denominator linking the Joneses and the crashers.
But what is the connection between Michele Jones and Desiree Rogers?
