Well Polanski is a free man once again. And just like the deal dictated: he paid $4.5M, surrendered his identity papers, got fitted with his electronic ankle bracelet and was delivered to his multi-million dollar ski chalet in Gstaad Switzerland. There he will suffer in confinement with an absolutely glorious view of the Alps and have to contend with answering the door to receive his gourmet food and wine delivery.

Roman Polanski was today released from custody pending extradition and transferred to Gstaad, where he is under house arrest at his chalet. Polanski has undertaken not to leave his house and property at any time.
