States allowing civil unions/same-sex-marriage/domestic partnerships
Mayor Adrian Fenty signed the “Religious Freedom and Civil Marriage Equality Amendment Act of 2009″ allowing same-sex couples to marry. Signing took place at the All Souls Unitarian Church. Council passed it last week (11-2).
Still needs to be reviewed by the Senate.
Antis are fighting in court to get it on the ballot.
