MS BOYLE:

Christmas is a joyous time and this year I’ll be with my family and close friends and attending midnight mass to remember the true meaning. It will be a quiet time for reflection.

I thank everyone for their kind messages, presents and cards. I have so many cards my lounge is full of them and I can barely get in the door. Each and every one is so special and I’ve re-read them time and time again.

The album being so well received is humbling and I’m so very grateful. I hope that everyone is enjoying it.

It’s been an absolutely brilliant year and I can’t thank everyone enough for the support I’ve been given, not only here but around the world.

I am the happiest I have ever been and truly enjoying myself. It’s been quite a year. God has been very important to me.

I’d like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. I’m looking forward to 2010 and all that it has to offer.

SIMON COWELL:

I’m incredibly proud of Susan and delighted for her. This success couldn’t have happened to a more deserving or lovelier person. She did it her way and made a dream come true.

Susan Boyle has broken the rules. Her story is like a Hollywood film but it’s real life and a really talented, nice lady has won.

She has had such a busy year – unlike anything she would have experienced in her life before. She is tired but her spirits are as high as ever and she’s so glad to be home to meet up with all her pals.

MS BOYLE “SOURCE”:

She’s her own person yet she’s under orders to take it easy and not go overboard. The hard work starts next year and it will be huge. But she’s so excited and has been telling all who’ll listen about her itinerary. There are lots more countries where she can become a star – and she’s desperate to travel around the world and see more sights.
