Honolulu: John King talked with Jack Christensen about his barry walking tour, which covers barry’s “grandparents’ apartment, birthplace and school”.
And that birthplace is?
Kapiolani.
John King:
Up the street [from barry's grandparents' apt] is the hospital where Obama was born, and not too far away, the Punahou School, where he went to school and played on the basketball team.
Mr Christiansen, who goes by “Uncle Jack”, said something odd when he was talking about the basketball courts barry played at, as if he thinks barry grew up in the inner city.
And they’re important because they really show the environment — that he had a great advantage over other inner-city kids where there’s lots of graffiti and litter, and other problems.
