How many Democrats are abandoning ship (or dropping like barry-executed flies) in addition to SEN CHRIS DODD?
Also not seeking re-election are North Dakota SEN BYRON DORGAN, who expressed dissatisfaction with how things are going.
And first and it appears last term Colorado GOV BILL RITTER, who sealed his fate by picking Republican Michael Bennet to fill the Senate seat vacated by now-Interior Secretary Ken Salazar.
Yesterday, Michigan LT GOV JOHN CHERRY, the frontrunner to succeed term-limited GOV GRANHOLM, withdrew from the race.
And on December 22nd, Alabama freshman REP PARKER GRIFFITH had an epiphany and switched sides. He is now the first ever Republican to represent his district.
One wonders how many of these were given a little WH whisper in the ear before they made their decision.
Bets for next?
Word around here has RAHM EMANUEL running for mayor if MAYOR DALEY doesn’t run for an 6th term in 2011. Mayor Daley also a barry victim with the failure of landing the 2016 Olympics. Well, that and the parking meters. barry’s basketball buddy ALEXI GIANNOULIAS has the senate seat wrapped up…on the Dem side.
The question remains why hasn’t anyone been fired because of the White House crashers, as in “party planner” DESIREE ROGERS and for letting Abdulmutallab get through, as in Director of National Intelligence ADM BLAIR or maybe the Director of the National Counter Terrorism Center MICHAEL LEITER?
