Is there anyone who finds this news other than he’s finally admitted it?
He does get credit for not lying to Congress like: Palmiero, Sosa and Clemens
He came clean now because:
1-After getting 21% last year and 23% of the vote this year he knows he isn’t going into the Hall
2-He is going to be St Louis’ hitting coach this year.
3-LaRusso says he would use McGwire in the playoffs it they get that far.
And a lifetime ban on players who use steroids doesn’t seem to matter if they don’t get caught while they’re playing.

I’m sure people will wonder if I could have hit all those home runs had I never taken steroids. I had good years when I didn’t take any, and I had bad years when I didn’t take any. I had good years when I took steroids, and I had bad years when I took steroids. But no matter what, I shouldn’t have done it and for that I’m truly sorry.
If you are truly sorry Mr McGwire, then give Roger Maris’ family his record back.
