As of Jan 29th:

American Red Cross had collected $198M – more than one-third of the total $560M raised

17 days after Haiti earthquake: more than $560M donated to 40 US nonprofit groups (list of tallies)

Took only 8 days after Katrina to raise that much. [Where did it go?]

As of Jan 26, the Business Civic Leadership Center (nonprofit affiliated with US Chamber of Commerce): $122M raised from 299 companies.

Some of the smaller charities involved with Haiti before the earthquake: Angelwish, Beyond Borders, and Hope for Haiti’s Children Ministries.
