Sure didn’t take long. Why? It’s the weekend.
Wonder if anyone has tallied how many press releases/announcements/resignations have come on the weekend or right before a holiday.
As hinted at, Julianna Smoot replaced Desiree Rogers as Deputy Assistant to the President and Social Secretary. Deputy Asst to the president? Hopefully that will include teaching him protocol and simple etiquette.
Smoot worked as Chief of Staff for US Trade Representative Ron Kirk – tax evader.

I am humbled and excited to take on the role of White House Social Secretary and support the Obama administration in a different capacity. Over the last year, I have had the honor of building relationships in the international community through my work at USTR, and I am looking forward to implementing this experience at the White House.
Why Ms Smoot?
She was barry’s finance director aka megamoney raiser for his presidential campaign, who now wants to work out of the WH.
She has worked for Tom Daschle (another tax evader) as well as John Edwards, Schumer, Durbin, Reid and Rockefeller.
