If you’re not aware – Rod Blagojevich’s and barry’s good friend and campaign fundraiser Tony Rezko’s name comes up again. Rezko had an account in Alexi Giannoulias family bank – Broadway Bank – that he used to pass bad checks in Vegas totally 450K. Giannoulias reportedly was not involved. Rezko was found guilty 16/24 charges in June 2009 but was never sentenced. Why? Because he is cooperating with the Feds re: Blagojevich. His sentence will hinge on his testimony as well as the verdict. Whatever happens Rezko still has charges pending in Las Vegas and in Chicago for his onvolvement in a $10M business-loan fraud case.
