Executive Order vs Stupak Amendment?

March 25, 2010

Executive Order

Ask yourself this:

Why was the Stupak-Pitts Amendment not allowed and an executive order used in its place — an order that has no legal anything and can be rescinded or ignored at any time?

They both address the Hyde Amendment and they have almost the exact wording that no federal funds will be used abortion, except in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the life of the mother.

The difference?

The Stupak-Pitts Amendment would have been made LAW and there would be no way around it except a veto.

The executive order leaves the door open.

The key to barry is not what’s there – it’s what’s missing.
