Poll on Politico tonight next to AZ birther bill – Rep Posey post.
Note the specific language used, including the tense.
Q: Do you support…that would require presidential candidates…
A: …reasonable request from the nation’s president.
15,960 votes
53% it’s “reasonable request”
45% it’s “ridiculous”
Neither bills would be retroactive and would only apply to future presidential candidates and yet the answer refers to the “president”. The only presidential candidate that can be referred to as president is barry.
And what would the Framers think about a “reasonable request” of an absolute Constitutional requirement?
