Hawaii: Abercrombie out – GOP Djou in

Nothing like a little hometown love for barry.

House Republicans have won their first special election in 2 years. And they did it in barry’s home district after the DNCC tossed in the towel and abandoned their candidates. Rather remarkable gesture to their Dear Leader!

Doesn’t say much either for the worth of the position once held by their gubernatorial hopeful: Rep Neil Abercormbie.

Mail-in ballots for temporary Abercrombie replacement.

R Charles Djou (67,274 votes) 39.5%

D COLLEEN HANABUSA (52,445 votes) 30.8%

D ED CASE (47,012 votes) 39.5%

barry carried 70%.

Come November, when Democrats regain control of this seat, they will honor their Dear Leader! in his other “home state” by losing control of his allegedly for-sale senate seat.

The question is how many (IL/DC) Democrats will have been named in Rod Blagojevich’s trial and/or been forced to resign in the interim.
