CNN had reported earlier today that BP might cut their feed once they began the procedure to seal the well. Rep Edward Markey (D-MA) was the cited source. Don’t know if it was ever substantiated but he accomplished what he set out to – BP said it will continue with the LIVE feed (CNN).
“Top kill” is a matter of forcing heavier thicker fluid down from the top to stop the flow up/out and then sealing it with cement.
Chance of success 60-70%.
