DADT posts

Here’s some numbers from dadtarchive.org. Excellent resource put together by Servicemembers United.

Williams Institute, Jan 2010 report

Women = 14% of active duty personnel = 43% active duty LGB

Estimated that repealing DADT could attract:

Active duty 36.7K
Guard/Reserve 12K

DADT (since 1994) has cost $290-500M

DADT discharge: $22-43K per person to replace

Total DADT discharges (since 1994) = 13,425

As of May 20 = 14,055

Total 2009 = 443

DOD 428
Coast Guard 15

443 discharges that could have been prevented by the commander in chief who says he wants to repeal DADT but has done nothing personally.
