Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
It’s been 17,951 days since the Hawks last won the Stanley Cup – April 16, 1961.

Totally wild ending to the game. Kane scored at 4:20 in OT. No one but Kane reacted – not even the referee. Doc Emrich even missed the call. I’ll see if I can find video.
Yeah. I shot, I saw it go right through the legs. Sticking right under the pad in the net. I don’t think anyone saw it in the net. I booked it to the other end. I knew it was in. I tried to sell the celebration a bit. Everyone came down, and I think some guys were still kind of a little iffy to see if the puck was in the net. I saw the coaches there pointing at the puck and jumping around. It’s pretty surreal right now for sure.
Captain Jonathan Toews was named MVP.
Re: handing off the Cup to Hossa:
TOEWS: Yeah, well we talked about it very, very briefly this morning. Didn’t want to get overexcited or think too much of the end result, but mentioned it to him this morning to be ready, that if we did happen to hoist it tonight, that Duncan and Sharpy both agreed that he should be the first guy after myself to grab it. You know, it’s special for him. And I can’t imagine being a part of three long seasons like that and to win one finally. It’s amazing for all of us. But especially for him too for sure.
1st: Byfuglien (PP)
2nd: Sharp, Ladd
OT: Kane (4:10)
Pronger was a complete nonfactor. Was in the box for the first goal. Guess the tutu worked.
