Brazilian president Lula da Silva offered asylum to Ms Ashtiani and her children. Iran rejected it. Now Ms Ashtiani is accepting it.

Ms Ashtiani today said that she is grateful for the offer made by the Brazilian president Lula da Silva and that she accepts his offer. She has also come under a lot of pressure by the prison authorities who keep questioning her about her alleged contacts with the media and outside individuals.
Unfortunately, her fate has been decided. She is going to be executed. Will post that next.
Turkey says it will not extradite Ms Ashtiani’s lawyer, Mohammed Mostafaei, back to Iran.
His brother-in-law was released but his wife is still being held hostage in Evin Prison.
