Blago jury deadlocked – more info tomorrow

Hey Milo. It’s not clear. The jury sent Judge Zagel a note asking what they could do to resolve the deadlock. As in: “If we are in a situation where we can’t agree or reach a unanimous decision on counts associated with specific acts, what should the next step be?” Don’t know the charges/acts in question or which defendant or anything else. Court will reconvene at 11am so the judge can get clarification from the jury. Don’t know if Blago ever made a statement but he was quoted as saying he had “butterflies” and that he “missed” the reporters.

Rod Blagojevich corruption trial jury comprised of 6 men and 6 women left early today without a verdict.
Deliberating for 8 days, expected to resume Monday.
Milorad – 24 counts (bribery, conspiracy, extortion, *lying, racketeering, wire fraud)
Brother Rob: 4 counts (extortion, wire fraud)
*What the jury won’t be able to look past.
Seems they’ve forgotten that Blago’s predecessor, Republican George Ryan, is already in prison…in Indiana.

Amnesty International ad to free Sakineh Ashtiani who has been condemned to die on a judge’s “knowledge” that she committed adultery. She was sentenced to death by stoning after she had received her initial punishment of 99 lashes.

Why did Rahm Emanuel and Valerie Jarrett accompany him? Anything related to the Blago trial? Having seen much of them lately.
barry was greeted at O’hare by Mayor Daley and Gov Pat Quinn. Then he took Marine 1 to Soldier Field and motorcade home. Imagine the cost of this.

Today barry will attend 3 fundraisers including one for Alexi Giannoulias…wonder who the other two are for? Mayor Daley and Gov Quinn? Or the Save Blago Fund?
