Shout out to Tbilisi, Georgia!
Mission Free Iran posted by Tiko Japaridze:
This was the fourth protest action organized by Georgian citizens. This time, around 25 people gathered in front of the Embassy of Iran in Tbilisi, holding green posters and demanding to stop torture, persecution, and execution of women, children, homosexuals, and human rights defenders in Iran.
Can’t say Georgians aren’t creative. Read some of the slogans on the protest signs.
My favorite: Pimps’ Regime.
And as the sign shows – it’s time to dismiss the Islamic Republic of Iran from the UN Commission on the Status of Women, especially when barry sends reports to the UN about the human rights abuse of AZ immigration law that has not gone into effect and probably never will.
Unnamed protesters (Tiko?)
(L) Sakineh Ashtiani in life, (R) Neda Agha Soltan in death, uncaptioned courageous women in the center.
What would it mean to Iranian women to see just this one woman?
