Do recall how Halperin and Heileman attacked Mrs Edwards, Sarah Palin, Hillary Clinton and others in their book bound blog without directly quoting or naming their sources.
French journalists Michael Darmon and Yves Derai wrote an unauthorized biography of Ms Bruni (Carla and The Ambitious) and in it they attribute a quote to Mrs Obama without naming a source.

Ms Bruni allegedly asked Mrs Obama how she liked being first lady and Mrs Obama allegedly responded:
Don’t ask! It’s hell. I can’t stand it!
FLOTUS spokesperson Catherine McCormick-Lelyveld “told ABC News that “the first lady never said that.”
EMMANUEL LENAIN, French Embassy, DC:
Mrs. Bruni-Sarkozy distances herself completely from the content of the book ‘Carla and the Ambitious,’ which was not authorized and the authors alone are responsible for its contents. The words attributed to the first lady of the United States were never said.
And that is who ROBERT GIBBS quotes in his tweet. He never denies – he defers.

A military judge has denied the Ft Hood (alleged) murderer’s defense lawyer, John Galligan’s request to keep his client’s Article 32 hearing closed to the press and public. Why?
GALLIGAN: We’ve had Obama to Oprah weighing in on this case.
And the government weighed in and called the mass murder a case of workplaces stress. No mention of the fact the (alleged) murderer was a “devout” Muslim who killed non-Muslims in the name of Islam because he was too cowardly to do the job he volunteered for.

I found this humorous. CNN’s Rick Sanchez and Brooke Baldwin were discussing the case of Mexican journalist Ines Sainz (TV Azteca), who is alleging sexual harassment against the Jets’ players. Today’s discussion was whether Ms Sainz “deserved” it because of what she was wearing. They then showed Sainz’s twitpic that was to prove she was not “inappropriately dressed.”

Iran is still not allowing Ms Ashtiani’s children or lawyers to visit her. This is the latest communication from Ms Ashtiani’s son Sajjad. He points out that Iran has to provide proof that his mother is being allowed weekly visitation, calls for the immediate release of his mother, and asks that international pressure on Iran continue because he has not received any official papers that his mother’s execution by stoning was commuted. Not sure who the “eight industrialized countries” are that he refers to.
