Mina Ahadi’s (spokesperson for the Save Sakineh campaign and International Committees Against Stoning/Execution) video update on Ms Ashtiani, her son Sajjad, and her lawyer Houtan Kian who were arrested along with 2 German journalists on October 10th and have not been heard from since.

Aug 11: Last time Ms Ashtiani’s children/lawyer were allowed to see her.
Aug 11: Ms Ashtiani’s first forced TV appearance to denounce her once lawyer, Mohammed Mostafaei, who was given asylum in Norway.
Aug 25 (or so): Ms Ashtiani’s new lawyer Houtan Kian’s office was broken into and his computers and files taken.
Aug 28: 100 Cities Around the World Against Stoning protest during which Sajjad called DC to address the crowd directly and thank them for their assistance.
Aug 29: Ms Ashtiani’s mock execution
Sept 5: Word Ms Ashtiani was given another 99 lashes for a miscaptioned unhijabbed photo of another Iranian woman, Susan Hejrat.
Sept 9: Ms Ashtiani’s children refused visitation again
Sept 11: Ms Ashtiani’s second forced TV appearance to denounce relashing ‘rumor’ is the last time she was heard from.
Sept 18: Ms Ashtiani’s family refused visitation again
Sept 19: Shout Down Ahmadinejad in NYC protest
Oct 9: Kian went to Tehran to inquire about Ms Ashtiani’s case and was told it was given to a new judge. (New info from Ms Ahadi in video)
Oct 10: World Day Against the Death Penalty
Oct 10: Sajjad and Kian were arrested in Kian’s office while being interviewed by German media (journalist and photographer) and Ms Ahadi was translating on the phone. She fled Iran in the 80′s and is living in Germany and speaks both fluently. All four were taken into custody and have not been heard from since.
Oct 16: Day of Action protest calling for their release
Oct 19: Sajjad, Kian and 2 journalists court hearing
Last I’ve heard until this video. Don’t know anything about what happened at the alleged hearing or even if it took place – Ms Ahadi does not mention it. Just that no one has heard from them.
