The Blackhawks are the first ever sports team in Illinois to receive/be honored with permanent “Professional Sports Teams license plates”. They weren’t approved in IL until 2002, which explains why the Bulls weren’t first, but why not the Sox after they won the World Series in 2005?
Random number, personalized, or vanity plates available
$139 – random number plate – currently titled vehicle
$234 – random number plate – new vehicle without current plate
$25 of which goes to IL public school fund
Nov 10th Hawks home game - Secy of State’s “mobile unit” will be on hand to sell random number plates and take orders for personalized and vanity plates.
