The Islamic Republic of Iran is delegitimizing itself without any help from the West.
Ahmadinejad told Christiane Amanpour that Ms Ashtiani was never sentenced to death by stoning – rather than boast how wonderful Shariah law is. And with that lie, which the entire world knows he did since Ms Ashtiani’s final official death sentence had already been made public, he acknowledged that stoning a woman to death is not acceptable…if the non-Muslim world finds out.

The IRI then proceeded to make a case for something that would warrant the death penalty. They “re-opened” the murder investigation of her husband, stole the case files, tortured her (including another 99 lashes), and then forced her to go on TV to implicate herself in a case that had already been closed and the murderer pardoned by her own children. No need to mention what a coward the murderer is for not coming forward to save the woman whose husband he murdered and whose son is now imprisoned and being tortured.
And now, even after the final death sentence had been seen (don’t know if a copy had made it online yet), the proisecutor says Ms Ashtiani’s case is still being investigated. Meaning the regime’s investigators, investigations, judges and judicial system – all based on Sharia law – are total and utter crap.
And they are too stupid to realize they are admitting to it themselves.
So why are they refusing to release Ms Ashtiani?
She is not the only innocent woman in Iran sentenced to death by stoning for crimes she did not commit.
Today’s comments from prosecutor general Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejeh:
More time is needed to finalize the Mohammadi-Ashtiani case and reach a final verdict. It is quite clear that the murder charges against her will have priority over the adultery charges.
Quite clear + priority = four years later.
Is the whole country run by dummies?
