Can’t be many folks (outside Ms Boyle fans) who thought she would be back a year later with another #1 album – something no woman has ever achieved.
Tuesday (Nov 23), she appeared on the Today Show and performed 3 songs off her second album “The Gift” accompanied by the Hudson River Children’s Choir.

Ms Boyle and “Susan Search” winner Amber Stassi (pix) spoke with Meredith Vieira and then sang “Do You Hear What I Hear?”.
Ms Stassi held her own but had to be incredibly nervous.
Ms Boyle also sang “O Holy Night” & “Perfect Day“.
And to close Matt Lauer’s “NBC’s People of the Year” Thanksgiving special, “Auld Lang Syne”.
Ms Boyle was a 2009 NBC Person of the Year (as was Octomom and Capt Sullenberger.)
