World Cup Sold! Russia, Qatar (0 WC appearances, 0 women soccer teams, 0 women Olympians)

OBAMA: I think it was the wrong decision.

Dec 2, 2010

FIFA once again proves how easily they are bribed…just a tad more easily than the International Olympic Committee.

This explains why the UK went out in the first round.

CNN: Two members of the executive committee and four other officials were suspended by FIFA last week following an investigation by British newspaper The Sunday Times. This week the BBC’s Panorama program claimed another three current executive committee members had accepted bribes more than a decade ago.

FRANCE24 report on bribes

And today was the first time FIFA has announced 2 bids at once. Why? They had to give Qatar enough time to get ready.

Who knows, with enough Qatari citizenship giveaways to foreign soccer players, they might even qualify for the tournament they somehow qualified to host. Get an inside look so to speak that money can’t buy. The players, the vote, the refs, no problem.

World Cup 2018 – Russia 13 (majority)

World Cup 2022 – Qatar 14 – 8 (US)

UK went out in the first round allegedly because they are hosting the 2012 Olympics. Doesn’t fly. Brazil will be hosting the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics (which were denied the US) and were the most recent host of the Pan Am Games (2007). Russia will be hosting the 2014 Olympics and 2018 World Cup.

2012 Summer Olympics – UK
2014 Winter Olympics – Russia
2014 World Cup – Brazil
2016 Summer Olympics – Brazil (over US*)
2018 World Cup – Russia (over UK)
2022 World Cup – Qatar (over US)

Pretty obvious once it’s laid out. Iran’s buddy Brazil being handed the the Olympics and the World Cup (2nd time) just 2 years apart is so glaringly obvious it’s not worth getting agitated. If something goes wrong with the 2014 WC – the 2016 Olympics are toast. Russia at least has four years between them.

*Qatar also tried to bid for the 2016 Olympic Games when they’ve never even allowed a woman to train for the Olympics.

2018 Olympic bid countries: France, Germany, South Korea (lost 2010, 2014)

2020 Olympics – countries announced in 2013 and there aren’t expected to be any US cities.

USOC Chief Executive Scott Blackmun:

The cold and hard reality is Chicago spent approximately $80 million on its bid. It’s going to be difficult to get U.S. cities to continue to invest to that level unless they think they have a realistic chance of winning. The [IOC] sent us a message, loud and clear, that they don’t want the Games to be in the United States. Unless we get some signs from the IOC, I think it’s highly unlikely we would mount a bid on our own initiative.

Objectively: The US and UK were the only countries with 100% rating in the “World Cup Host Candidate Report” commissioned by FIFA to assess the bid country’s money-making potential.

2018 UK 100, Spain/Portugal 91, Netherlands/Belgium 87, Russia 86

2022 US 100, Japan 73, South Korea 71, Qatar 70, Australia 68

Qatar reality check:

How many US citizens are going to voluntarily fly to the hotbed of islamoterrorism?

How many Euro/SA fans are going to tolerate such restriction on liquor and PDA?

How many women from any country are going keep their shoulders and knees shrouded in 105 weather?

Never gonna happen.

Now consider:

If the entire population of Qatar bought 2 tickets apiece, they still would not sell as many as the US did (3.58M) in 1994.

Only two teams outside Europe (10 wins) and South America (9 wins) have ever reached the WC semi-finals: USA and South Korea – both of whom were stiffed by FIFA when they gave it to Qatar.

Qatar has never played in the World Cup – South Korea has qualified for the last 8.

Qatar is host of the 2011 AFC Asian Cup – second time host – overall record 0-7.

South Korea’s record in 11 Asian Cups: 2 wins (one as host nation), 3 second place, 3 third place.

Whose money do you reckon was behind the bombing of South Korea just days before the vote?

Qatar makes absolutely no logical sense.

To make the most money – it should have been US/UK.

To expand into the largest new market – Qatar should have been passed over for China 2026. (Same continent cannot host it consecutively.)

So how did a country that young (39 y/o), that small (pop 1.7M – size of CT), that hot (over 105), that unprepared ( 50K hotel rooms – 6 airports/4 paved), that oppressive to women, that religious and that anti-Semitic (refuses entry to Israeli citizens) win the bid to host a 80 y/o tournament it has never even particiapated in?

MONEY.

MONEY.

MONEY.

And where better to exchange it than Switzerland? Non-profit sports organizations based there are not subject to anti-corruption laws governing business firms – which is why over 50 international sporting associations are headquartered there – most notably the IOC and FIFA.

And lookie who made “social” visits to FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter.

Qatar’s Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Thani – Pres Blatter

FIFA Pres Blatter:

We go to new lands. Never has the World Cup been in Russia and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East and Arabic world have been waiting for a long time so I’m a happy president when we talk about the development of football.

And the development of Muslim women be damned.

It’s about money, politics, oil, natural gas, and cheap labor to generate massive revenue while no one watches. Slavery, yet a(nother) dirty little secret. Just like in Saudi Arabia.

FACTS:

QATAR IS AN ABSOLUTE MUSLIM MONARCHY.

QATAR DOES NOT ALLOW ISRAELI CITIZENS TO ENTER – EVEN FOR SPORTING PURPOSES – SOMETHING FIFA IS AWARE OF.

QATAR IS LOCATED ON THE ARABIAN PENINSULA – THE PRESENT HOTBED FOR ISLAMOTERRORISM.

QATAR IS A CLOSE ALLY OF IRAN AND THINKS IT’S OK FOR IRAN TO HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS.

QATAR IS FOUNDER OF AL JAZEERA, WHICH HAPPILY POSTS VIDEOS OF AMERICANS BEING BEHEADED, AS WELL AS AL QAEDA AND OSAMA BIN LADEN PROPAGANDA VIDEOS – MEANING THEY KNOW PRECISELY WHERE HE IS.

NOW, WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF QATARI WOMEN.

Traditional dress

QATAR IS RUN BY ISLAMIC LAW – SHARIAH  – WHICH CONSIDERS A WOMAN HALF A MAN AND SANCTIONS CHILD MARRIAGES, GENITAL MUTILATION, (MARITAL) RAPE, DISHONOR KILLINGS AND DEATH BY STONING.

QATAR HAS NO WOMEN’S SOCCER LEAGUE – NO NATIONAL WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM – NO WOMEN’S SOCCER INVOLVEMENT IN FIFA OR ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD – SOMETHING ELSE FIFA IS AWARE OF.

QATAR (along with Brunei, Saudi Arabia) HAVE NEVER ALLOWED A WOMAN TO QUALIFY FOR THE OLYMPICS.

And then there’s the obvious fact that Qatar has never played a second in the tournament it somehow qualified to host.

It’s so obvious it’s laughable.

Qatar bid chief Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Thani:

On behalf of millions of people living in the Middle East, thank you. Thank you for believing in us, thank you for having such bold vision. … Thank you also for acknowledging this is the right time for the Middle East. We have a date with history which is summer 2022.

And so do AQAP islamoterrorists…and just a camel ride away.

SHEIKH: We are a very, very hospitable place that welcomes people from all parts of the world. Bringing the World Cup to the Middle East now … will showcase to the world that the Middle East is home to a lot of people, it’s opening its arms to the rest of the world. In doing so, such misconceptions will be dissolved.

Yeah right…now about Qatari women and sports.

SHEIKH: This is another perception, another perception that women are oppressed in the Middle East and this is a wrong, wrong perception. We hope with the World Cup being awarded to Qatar, we can change that.

He’s joking, of course. Take another peek at the “traditional garb” above and ask yourself whether you would feel oppressed (at the very least physically) if you had to wear a head-to-toe black shroud in triple digit temperatures.

And then ask yourself why Qatar waited until May this year to put together a Qatari woman’s athletic association and why they thought it was perfectly fine to send men to the Olympics but not women.

What it will mean to Qatar first and foremost – more slave laborers.

What’s really building Qatar.

Full ballot results follow.
