Flight 1549 Flight attendant’s Sheila Dail and Doreen Welsh are reaching out to folks to contribute to the Pegasus Project, which helps flight attendants’ families get by in tough times. It involves an online auction November 1-30.
Doreen Welsh and Patrick Harten just participated in the “Wings of Mercy Hangar Benefit” on September 26 but I can’t find a story to see how things went. Capt Sullenberger got all the press yesterday – announcing he was going to fly soon. Wings of Mercy is a free, volunteer medical air transport service.
Have Flight 1549’s 150 passengers done any type of fundraiser?
We’d like to invite you to participate in a unique marketing opportunity and exciting event hosted by the Pegasus Project, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide short-term emergency grants to members of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA-CWA) who are experiencing financial hardship due to a critical, life-threatening illness or injury.
The Pegasus Project will be hosting a unique online auction November 1 – 30, 2009 to raise the necessary funds to continue providing valuable services to Flight Attendants and their families.
We hope that you will consider donating an auction item that will contribute to the excitement of this auction. We are seeking items of a unique nature, including spa/cruise/hotel stays, theatre/sports/show tickets or memorabilia, jewelry, art or any item you wish to donate.
Please contact the Auction Coordinator, Gary Richardson at the contact information listed below.
Thank you in advance for your kind consideration and we look forward to advertising your business or service in the auction!
