We finally get to see the men who have put their own lives on the line to save Ms Ashtiani. This photo of Ms Ashtiani’s 22 y/o son, Sajjad Ghaderzadeh, and her lawyer, Houtan Kian is from the International campaign Against Stoning (Ms Ahadi). Unfortunately, there is no story behind the photo. Accompanying it was a hand-written letter from Sajjad to UN Sec Gen Moon written in Persian. English version.

There is something very curious about this photo that I can’t put my finger on – almost as if they are in custody. The pix looks to have been taken by someone sitting on the floor. They appear to be in a well-established library – but why are the chairs so new they still have the plastic on them?
