Ashtiani/stoning posts

Imagine what would happen if our own dear leader showed the courage of this 22 y/o and spoke out against Iran.

Ms Ashtiani son, Sajjad, did an interview that was published in France’s Liberation newspaper. Don’t have the full translation but I will look for it. [Found it – will post] He and his sister and his mother’s lawyer have been banned from visiting the prison.

SAJJAD: I urge you, please keep up the pressure. Had you not been there, my mother would have already been dead.

Evidently he also appealed to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who has offered Ms Ashtiani and her son and daughter asylum in Brazil and which she accepted.

SAJJAD to Lula:

Your voice has more weight for the president (Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad) than ours.
